UMVC3 and Super SF4 AE weekly tourneys tonight at Comic World. Come body me like you love me. <3
Well last night was fun. Props to Mike for getting his team countered and Olli for not meeting me in pools(and winning the tourney). I wanted to use my other team but couldn’t find a time, next week.

I think I took over Adam’s role as The Heartbreak Kid with the failed Ryu comeback in losers’ finals. Still ticked that I guessed right on a TAC and the game still said “eff you” because that was the beginning of the end for me. Good stuff to Olli for adapting after a 3-0 loss in grand finals and coming back three straight. And, of course, to Nick for working his way up through losers semis and finals with a zoning team more solid than anything I’ve played against or seen locally. Honorary props to Gary for beating Olli 11 straight before the tournament.

Wow was I salty. Won 5 straight in grand finals against Blake (3 vs Sakura) only to have him pick Ryu and beat me three in a row. Guess I have another match-up to study more closely because I don’t know what I can do other than get a life lead and somehow keep Ryu from jumping in on Vega.
Next week is UMVC3 and Tekken 6. As of right now, plan on it being at the same place, but if that changes I’ll be sure to let everyone know.

Mario Kart? I dunno if there’s enough interest but at least for next week I’m bringing it (or some random) for the CRT.
I think he means KOF13. Also, ya know, since there ARE enough people who play Smash in town, I wouldn’t mind throwing Melee on the CRT or even doing the patented 2-stock random-stage get-this-shit-done-with Melee tourney we did last time during the Random Cup.
If I had an internet connection for the 360 there, I’d seriously just bring Avatar Fighter Online and force that on you guys all night. ^^;

We’ll see how long I can keep doing Tri-Jump C with Dorm until people catch on. We can only make it to 2 more weeklies before going back to ISU. That should be enough time for you right?
Also, I’d like to play melee but’d be fine with Mario Kart maybe even Party. Don’t expect Nick to post he mainly checks the character boards but his username is Dr. Slash.

UMVC3 and Tekken 6 tournaments are a go for tomorrow at Comic World. Same location (probably moving at the end of the week from what I heard), try to be there by 6 so we can start at a reasonable time. Also, I have to work from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. all week, so in addition to being cranky and exhausted…I might also be a hair later than normal. I should be there by 5:30.
Ouch, those are some heavy 12 hour days - and starting at 5? CRIPES!

Eh, I can’t find my gamecube games so can’t deliver on that this week (maybe next time!). Heading out for Dubuque in a bit, we should be there around same time as always.

What a freakin’ night. Jackie was a hit away from making it a brother/sister 1st/2nd in winner’s finals against me and went undefeated in a pool with Olli AND Blake. Gary pulls a decisive 6-2 in grand finals versus me to take 1st and no one could touch Gary’s main team at all (he stuck with his secondary team against me in pools). Props to Adam for nearly qualifying out of his pool with not one but TWO low-tier characters on his team. Two Captain Americas and two Iron Fists in one 10-person tournament is both weird and awesome.
Also, Gary, that makes us 1-1 in Grand Finals. Hope we can break the tie this Tuesday.

I’ll finish this ranbat out, but two weeks from now will probably be the last Tekken tournament I run on a Tuesday night. Tech Romancer gets more people than this. 
Next Tuesday is UMVC3 (week 7) and Super SF4 AE (week 4). Last week of AE’s ranbat. I don’t feel like typing up the standings right now, but pretty much whoever wins between Blake and I that night wins the series. As far as UMVC3, I’ll post them later, but it’s me ahead of Olli by 9 and ahead of Blake by 15 or so with two weeks to go. When every entrant is capable of taking a tournament, it’s still very undecided who’s gonna win.
Also,** Comic World is officially moving THIS WEEKEND.** That said, I’m not sure if we’ll have the new spot to play this Tuesday as the store doesn’t officially open back up until (probably) Wednesday. The owner said we might be able to just use the place while he’s getting it ready, but he hasn’t decided yet. I’ll be sure to let everyone know via text/call/post/any way I can the moment I know.
