Hey, in my defense, they usually tend to be the most fun. (Also, tits.) Oddly enough, though, my favorite ever low-tier character is Twelve. And that’s weird for me. A non-human non-female character, dumb storyline, no personality, and match-ups that rank among the absolute worst in that game…and still my favorite above even Jun, Lilith, Elena and Vega.

I was wondering why you weren’t playing him when I saw a match on Youtube of you from UFGT. I don’t think it can get any shittier than him, maybe cap but that’s debatable.
We don’t really do a weekly tourney or anything, just casuals a couple of times a week. We usually play every Tuesday at my buddy’s apartment behind Charles Gabus Ford on Merle Hay Road and Friday or Saturday evenings at my house in Des Moines near Altoona. We’ve got an HDPVR and a mic to record matches/commentary. I would love to get enough people to start doing a monthly tourney in Des Moines though!
Back then I actually wanted to compete at UFGT. Then I ran 24 hours of pools and kinda threw that idea out the window.
As far as Thor being the worst in the game…Cap, Hsien-Ko, Haggar, and Arthur are all worse than him in my opinion (Haggar is debatable, if only for the assist), and if it wasn’t for DHC glitch and OTG assist I’d put Deadpool there as well. Thor, oddly enough, HAS a lot of tools. Like, for some odd reason, nearly ALL of the tools that exist in the game. Unfortunately, they’re also the shittiest in the game of what they are. DHC glitch in (not bad) AND out (…but off of a throw), a tri-jump (worst in the game, but it’s a fucking tri-jump), flight (again, worst in the game at using it), a beam (worst in the game), an OTG assist (…worst in the game), and the potential to OTG by himself and combo a super after (good fucking luck though with the combo). What he has that DOESN’T suck, however, is a command grab for huge damage, a lvl 1 command grab super, and the ability to reset after an OTG (though nowhere near as well as Wesker or Mags). Add in good health and damage and he might be the best low-tier character in the game…and if not that, then at LEAST the most interesting.
And that is why I love Thor. Because he’s the funnest time you can have while getting your ass kicked.
How old are most of you Iowan players? I just got SSF4 AE, haven’t tried it yet, but thought it was cool that there’s a scene in my area.
