I like the teams idea, but the whole regional thing makes me a little sad. I’m the only M’town person that’s actually there, so I’d have to see if any other area needs an extra player.
There can always be multiple teams per “region,” even if you aren’t specifically from that area. That, or just have teams be whatever. Chances are it’ll work itself into a regional thing anyway.
Yeah, all I know is that I remember someone (^this guy) hyping some sort of CR area vs DSM area Marvel clash thing. As for some sort of IC team there would be none, IC and CR would be together or something. Plus, I think 3v3 is sort of excessive for a game like Marvel-- 2v2 is just easier to form teams and they would probably be regional based ultimately like Scott mentioned. Additionally, I don’t think there’s much regional pride anyway (although I do think a Central vs East 5v5 would be interesting)
I don’t know who I’d want to team with in something like AE.
I “play” AE, just don’t know combos of course. And Mike, you forgot to mention the modest amounts of Dreamcast.
lol, that was a while ago when I still liked Marvel. Now that I’ve picked up MK, I’m officially done with it. Who all is still playing that is from CR? I’m not 100% sure where everyone is from, but the only person still interested in Marvel from CR is you, I think. 
“Interested” is a relative term, my friend. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy playing the game with everyone, but at this point I only play it for the competition that exists. I really don’t like ANY of the overall design choices in the gameplay at all. I’m so hyped for CvS2 at the monthly though-- I really hope it happens. A team game I really love.
Ken is from CR I guess-- Jay also technically counts for the time being. So the team would be Me/Jay/Ken. A very strong team if I do say so myself. F*** them though, I’d be more inclined to team with Blank if he was coming if I had the luxury of choosing.
MK9 is a bad game.
That being said, I’m gonna win the next monthly again looool.
So. If i attempted to run a GGXX: AC side tourney at the next monthly would anyone actually enter. We’d do it just like HDR last month and have it be a dollar entry.

Ken is from CR, but he doesn’t post on the boards, so you’d have to convince him that day, assuming he even shows up.

ah, HELLZ YEAH! You’ll have to remind me what to do with Zappa though, it’s been too long! If it’s there, I’m definitely playing. That - and 3S should be played.
Considering that I didn’t play it at the last tournament, I sure as hell hope I improved, lol.
Well that’s enough interest so far for me to at least bring the PS2 and the game. So expect a side tourney.
I’d be happier playing CVS2 than GG (if time becomes an issue), but you know me. I’ll play whatever. Gimme a game with a low-tier female character (Vega is close enough to a chick for SF4) and I’m in.

Depends. It’s looking like we’ll have a lot of setups this time around, so I’m hoping to just blow through the regular tournies in quick fashion.
