Hmm, looking at the current game list-- I’d say to just leave it how it is and not add another game.
Mike, I’m going to let it slide since I know you weren’t directing that to me, but I just want to say: I don’t think Pheonix is OP or broken. I think she’s really stupid, I hate playing against her, and I am confident she is the best character in the game. Honestly, I think the reason phx isn’t winning anything is simply put that the best players simply aren’t playing her; justin has said he thinks she’s dumb, and I know other top players have already found their teams. Clorkwork may or may not be the best phx player, but from what I’ve seen he’s still making the mistake ALL of them are making so far; they are building a team to run lvl3 xf dark phx, and honestly as rediculous as that is, her real strength will show when people stop leaning on that and start playing her as a real character.

We found a different venue so that we can do this on a Saturday. It’s only a couple of weeks away, but I figure if you can’t get the day off in two weeks, another week or two wouldn’t make much of a difference. Because we’re not really adding business to the shop (it runs off of CCGs, pretty much), I do have to charge a venue fee of $2, which will all go to venue. Considering the situation, I’m glad they’re being cool with that. This will be a test run of sorts, so if anything gets crazy I can always move it back to the bar.
Nice! How far is the regular bar from the new venue? We should hit them up after the tourney.
It’s like 5 minutes away, but there actually is a small po-dunk bar literally right down the street from the game shop. And, there’s restaurants and shit right around it that have bars as well. PLUS grocery stores, so drinks can be aplenty, if that’s what you were thinking. 
Shit, I can’t make it. My girlfriend’s birthday is on that Saturday. Just for the record, I wouldn’t mind paying a small venue fee, even $5 would be fine.
My thought was to give the bar that’s been treating you guys so well some business, we’ll play it be ear :tup:

lol, that was the last of my good games. I lost the next to derricklegend, and then I had to wait 2 hours to play again and subsequently lost. It was fun, though.

Scott - I got stuff going on in town on the 14th, so I’m not gonna be able to make that one. Sorry. Depending on how depressing my MVC3 showing is at UFGT7, I’ll try to show up for any others after that.

Blake - Derrick is a hemma good player, no doubt, but I was very salty after losing that match. I feel I lost because of the character. You can ask Alex: I suck asshole against Julia. For whatever reason, I just do not play well against that character. Never have and probably never will. 
I’m actually shocked they had Tekken on the stream for as long as they did. That tourny was my first time playing on a stream. Super fun being trolled by commentators and having them say I should be in a Rocky movie.
I can honestly say that gear would likely get at least 3 entrants, assuming keela is still playing Zappa in his spare time.
The game is to damn fun not to play. Also KOF is fun but how many here actually play those? specifically XI and 98/2k2um
What are everyone’s plans for UFGT? I’m taking my car right now with Blank. We need more people to come to split gas and hotel. I’m leaving Friday morning I guess.
We’re still figuring stuff out. I’m waiting to hear from one of our Tekken buds from IC to see if he’s going. If so, we’ll take his car and it will be Bill, him, and myself. We’re crashing with friends. Have you already got your hotel room booked?

Yo Dracula_X, what’s up?! Yeah, I’d say guilty is still my favorite game of all time (Zappa is such a cool fucking character; ghosts, sword, DOG, RRROOOAAAHHHH!!! Such a unique and diverse character roster - such a beautiful game, cool music - fucking deep, too - lots of awesome game mechanics/physics, crazy execution, the list goes on and on. I’d even say my precious 3rd Strike takes a back seat to it, haha.
I’ll have to dust off the 'ol ps2 and get that game going again. We should at least try and get some casuals next time everyone gets together. Wish more people played it - maybe I’ll try and pick up a Naomi GD-ROM and put guilty in one of my cabs, it’s just so damn expensive though…
But hey - as long as Klaige is doing one shot after every match in Guilty, let’s do some money matches! FT50??? LOL
