Oh god Curtis, its that SNK game you showed me at Pixels. I better see some fuckin HIGH-LEVEL Poochy play or I will be mad disappoint.
I bought Skullgirls for the sake of supporting it and more games like it, but I’m not putting a whole lot of time into it because, like others here have mentioned, I don’t have a whole lot of time for it.
It’s been mostly SFIV for me. Still grinding out fundamentals and stuff. It’s starting to get fun now that I’ve begun retraining myself on how I use my stick. The way I was using it before was borking a lot of my inputs, especially Double QCF motions towards the right. I’ve also started forcing myself to take my losses with Cody online, instead of swapping to Zangief when I can’t win a matchup. That’s helped quite a bit too.
I’ve put SFxT on hold, in hopes that they fix a lot of what’s fundamentally wrong with that game. Lots and lots of frustrating little things.
No one plays SF4 in this state. You must be mistaken.
…and it just breaks my little heart.

I play games that I enjoy playing. If the people here aren’t into the games I like to play, then so be it.
I’d get into KoF if I didn’t live so far away or if its online wasn’t so terrible.

God help me, I had a lot of fun playing this. Probably because Peacock just trolls people who want to actually play the game, but hey. What WASN’T fun was watching solo v solo matches. Thank you, Mike Z., for doing 2 out of 3 with a MVC3 timer for this. You officially make everything take for-effing-ever. Especially when Peacock and Cerabella are involved. I could’ve fit a Starcraft 2 tournament in during Losers Semis and Finals. God. Damn. It.
Next week, I’m going to break tradition and run Skullgirls (6:00, $3) and King of Fighters XIII (after SG, $2). Week after, I’ll run UMVC3 and…something else. Dunno yet. Either SFxT or SF4.

Skullgirls review: Despite the fact that Peacock is the only aesthetic design decision I like and despite the fact that I still think Mike Z has issues, it’s a fun distraction and is more enjoyable than UMVC3 and SFxT.
Now get back to playing KOF13 like you should be. 
I’m starting to do really well in SF4 right now, im pretty much going to try to concentrate on that until UFGT and then go from there. Hopefully EVO, but yeah. Yes, let’s play moar KOF whenever I find the time that is. 
Good stuff in KC, Blake. I hope you level up more in SF4 and get out of pools this year. It’ll be awesome to see you on the stream. Also hope you get a character this year in the auction.
What’s going on in here?
I haven’t played any fighters lately. Got bored with SSF4, didn’t like MvC3 enough to bother with UMvC3, I don’t know a thing about KoF games, nobody likes Blazblue and I can’t be justify shelling out more money on yet another BB game nobody plays. Never had any interest in SFxT and I can’t get past how bad Skullgirls looks.
I’d be down for some GGXXAC when it gets a re-release. Anybody here picking it up besides Klaige? I know Murph and Charlie don’t care for GG.
I like how SRK simply stops sending me alerts when I haven’t posted in a while. Assholes.
Anywho, I’m still working on that. There weren’t any good dates at the shop in April, so this month was out. May is looking to be just as crazy. Not only is UFGT at the end of the month, but I have a wedding the weekend before, and my work schedule is changing here in about a week or so. I’m going to shoot for the 12th, but I’m not sure yet. As soon as I know more, I’ll post up. Promise.
Yeah, that’s how SRK rolls. It’s lame. May and June suck precisely because of shit like weddings and graduations.
Not to mention we’re getting into the thick of Evo season, so the next couple of months will be harsh. Don’t be surprised at all if we can’t get another monthly in until June or July. AND, to top it all off, I’m working on getting things scheduled for the next MOK this fall.
feels like we’re only going to have like 5 monthlies this year. hard to even call them monthlies. 
i’ll have it for sure. Hell if you want to play it sometime between now and when it gets re released and are in the des moines ish area get ahold of me.
It’s the way it goes sometimes. If we all lived down the block from one another, it would be different, but I gotta try to maximize the potential for these things. It’s no problem throwing something every day, the problem is getting good numbers.
