Invasion Force: The Skrull Team-Building thread!

Idk I still like Storm, thinking about playing Skrull-b/Storm-a/Sentinel-y, Rocket Punch extends combos, trying to think of some other ways you can apply it, could probably use is with f+H or d/f+H, I wonder if it could cover j.d+H. IM and Skrull work, orbital/tenderizer extends his combos, plus they lockdown the opponent, used to play an IM/Skrull team a while ago. I think it was IM-a/Skrull-b/Dorm-b, towers cover j. d+H so well and lockdown while unibeam covers approach and meteor smash. Also, level 3 xf Dorm is godlike lol. Run ruuunnn.

Been playing around with Spidey/Skrull-a/and either Arthur-a sent-a or Thor-a.

Skrull a gives Spidey good extended combo options. Web ball helps cover Skrull on j.d+h and meteor smashes. The last character is just there to aid in approaches and cover both Spidey and Skrull. Thinking about moving Skrull to the back of the team since he’s a decent anchor, but since I don’t get a lot of mileage out of assist I don’t mind losing him early. Keeping him in second now just so I can burn meter Spidey builds.

In your opinions is Tron better with Skrull or Doom? I have Felicia as battery, Skrull as User, and I need a good decent 3rd I can spam assist with.

The only problem I have w/ Tron is how do dhc into her, neither of her hypers seem like they hit after inferno. Also, thinking about using Skrull/Storm/Akuma. Anybody else using Tatsu assist? On hit you can start ise loop.

I’ve mostly been using Skrull/Hulk/Ammy. I’m sure it’s been said in the thread, but Ammy DHC’s VERY well into Inferno/Skrull Torch, and you can pretty much guarantee a hit with Gamma Crush off of Inferno for tons of damage. It works off of Skrull Torch when you get them in the corner, as well. I have to admit that Hulk doesn’t work well against a decent player online, but the DHC’s are undeniably awesome.

Zero/Skrull/Chris is my main team as of now but sometimes I switch my anchor to Task for DHC’s and better rushdown. Zero and Skrull are amazing together, I love their DHC’s and assists for one another, Tenderizer and Shippuga mostly. Tenderizer is also great for Zero because of how long it lasts, dem traps. Chris is an awesome anchor, he’s so reliable on his own, but he does need Skrull’s assist for his throw combos. Super lulzy OTG gun to zero frame THC Skrull is the best thing ever.

Anyone have any suggestions for Skrull (orbital or stone smite)/ C.Viper(burning kick)/ Doom(hidden missiles) ?

I just can’t find a really good team synergy right now.

Ive been using Skrull(orbital)/Storm(whirlwind)/Wesk(samurai edge)

The synergy of the team doesn’t seem to revolve much around Skrull.
besides Storms ability to HailStorm after Inferno and the obvious synergy of this team during Team Hyper Combos after a Samurai Edge with Wesker (boost his BNB over 1000k, but takes 3 meters)

regarding Kl’rt addition to the team:
Im not able to use his assist to help Storm in any foresee-able way, besides maybe some coverage from Orbital Grudge on the way in. And Kl’rts assist dont seem to do anything for Wesker either. I use Orbital Grudge some times after a Samurai Edge to set up resets, or quick j:h::s: xx Max Wesk.
I dont see any need for Kl’rt to call an OTG assist from Wesker with the tools he has.

Kl’rt and Storm go together ok with Hail Storm after inferno and Inferno after E.Rage.
Plus Whirlwind assist in nice in combination with Meteor Smash, since the whirlwind will push your opp back to the corner where the Meteor Smash can connect, this seems to thrown ppl off sometimes since it causes an ambiguous cross up.

So for me Kl’rt is as much of a lone fighter as I have used in MVC3.
Who do you guys feel like he has solid synergy with.

Been messing around in training mode with Skrull and he’s a great character. I’m just confused on whether or not he’s best played on point or anchor. Still experimenting with different teams.

Starting to like Skrull/Storm/Wesker, Wesker as anchor is too good, plus depending on the matchup I can switch Skrull w/ Wesker.

Yeah the Storm Skrull team-up is great.
Their synergy has been increasing for me for the last couple weeks.

For me Skrull is all about his resets and his corner resets are my favorite.
I feel like both Storm and Skrull do a good job of pushing their opps into the corner from a single combo with relative ease, thus setting you up for Corner Infernos.

Their DHCs are above par as well:
Reset Button *E.Rage DHC Inferno; E.Rage’s are very easy to land in a variety of situation and DHCing into Inferno sets you up for Resets

Assist Killer *Inferno DHC HailStorm; Huge Damage on hit and on Chip, and if you catch an assist they will die.

Phoenix Killer *Skrull Tourch DHC HailStorm; inv startup on tourch, can be whiffed on purpose to get opp to react then DHC to HailStorm for big damage(mind you that Hail Storm starts up nearly instantly as a DHC, unlike its raw form)

Hell ya, my problem so far is fighting Ammy or Wolvie with Kl’rt, they’re both so damn annoying.

Have you ran much Skrull/Storm/Tron Vicious?

Na I haven’t tried that team yet, sounds like a pretty messed up team:devil:. Speaking of assist killing, I’ve been blowing up Sentinel assists all day lol

Anyone find good teams that set up unblockables with Skrull and airdash down h? Seems airblocking the down c can avoid it pretty easily, perhaps charged s.c coupled with a low hitting assist? Anyone got any setups?

I made a for fun team of Skrull, Chris, Sentinel. I found some really cool stuff like ways to extend combos. I’ve seen a lot of people do magic series, otg, relaunch, air series into hyper. You can do that but finish and otg Tenderizer with drones and it’ll hold them up and allow you to do a hyper. Does like 100-200k more damage probably. I also created a really cool command grab setup. Corner only. But you do a magic series and it needs to end in the corner. Basically you use drones to confuse the opponent and then you land before they do and call Chris grenade toss with the command throw. If they don’t do anything, the grab gets em right as they fall, if it misses, I believe the grenade will blow up either hitting them or creating blockstun. It works easily on neutral and back air techs and works with a forward tech too but you have to do M command throw. Maybe I’ll post a vid if I could. Also Skrull and Chris have good ways to DHC into each other, and with Chris you can do a full combo into Grenade Launcher with Tenderizer assist.

Felicia’s assist. I roll her second and get it consistently. Try it out! I roll Doom’s missiles as my third assist since it helps lock the opponent down and since both Skrull and Felicia have command grabs.

you can do it with Samurai Edge or rocket Punch. The timing is just tuff, but its do-able
