What characters can benifit most from skrulls stonesmite assist? who could use a wall bounce?

Cap, Felicia, Iron Man, Chris, Spider-Man, Dorm, Doom, Sentinel… lots of characters.

Thor works really well with Stone Smite assist OTG, as well as Taskmaster.

cool, im going to pick up taskmaster now! I have two teams im going to main, Virgil/Taskmaster/Skrull and Zero/Skrull/Trish, now I just need to pick out some assists that I would like to play with him on point =P

Funny, my newest team is a mix of your two: Trish/Task/Skrull. I really like Trish and Task’s synergy in zoning and DHCing. With Trish on point I sometimes need a GTFO attack and that’s where Skrull’s Orbital Grudge comes in handy. Skrull is also my anchor because he’s my best solo character; if I can make anyone work without assists, it’s him.

Hey guys I’m new here but have been playing marvel for a while. I usually just roam the forums and steal useful tech but I figured I’d finally make an account. My current team is Nova(Centurion Rush)/ Trish(Low Voltage)/ Skrull(Orbital Grudge)
Great DHC chemistry all around especially when you have 3 bars. Low voltage helps Nova get it, Trish can set up an unblockable with Nova overhead and Skrull Standing L. Skrull XF 3 is still GDLK and I have made plenty of 3 on 1 comebacks with him. Tell me what you guys think!

Whats cool about Nova/Trish is that when you DHC to Round Trip in a combo, you can Hard Tag Nova, Energy Javelin, Centurian Rush M, Centurian Rush H, Nova Force Hyper. 3 meters and over 1 mil damage. I like combos that involve hard tagging.

As far as Skrull’s assist, you’d probably benefit more with the Stone Smite since it helps Nova reach over 700k on one bar, but I’m thinking Orbital Grudge serves as a protective tool toward Trish so I can see why you use it. I don’t main trish so I can’t see exactly how Stone might help her since she has no self OTG besides her hyper.

Hrm…I’m thinking about it. Perhaps with Trish cr.LMH S air M dH QCB L, air dash forward MH, jump MMS. If you call skrull during that jump loop, they would be knocked to the floor around the time Skrull otgs. Not sure what to put after that beyond the simple S MM double jump MM S, but that would still do some good damage. If it works with Firebrand’s charge assist, wesker’s gun, and frank’s shopping cart, I’m sure there’s a timing for stone smite in there.

Also, I haven’t been here for a while, I stopped playing Skrull, then my brother came up with a new team idea, and I have just learned of the sheer thing of beauty that is Skrull and Bolts of Ballsack. I can throw a forward H chained to a meteor smash, and I can follow up and connect every hit with bolts. It’s wonderful, day 1 800k confirms off of random crap, and if they block I can throw some of dat elastic slam in the middle of the bolts. It even makes for a decent THC, and everything with Skrull becomes safe, even the really really unsafe stuff. I might have to completely relearn skrull. Hi I’m Nasty, I may have to stare at your guide once again to get my Skrull back, because this is the cheap stuff, and I love it, and I might be picking up the team too.

Oh, and since I was vague the whole time, the team in question is Dorm/Skrull/Strange. Dorm can extend well off of stone smite with a pinch of love and timing, and bolts benefit Dorm nearly as much as skrull, especially in confirming off random teleport crossups (I stole a combo from Ryan Hunter’s combo vid for arrow crossups, it is so fun). And Skrull can pop lvl2 XF if he needs, with that trigger finger on Reading Rainbow, so good reactions are rewarded heavily.

If you get close enough to the ground you might be able to call him out, but his timing is really bad because of how long he has to charge up. I did a combo that gave enough time for stone smite but it end up doing less damage that Trish can do by herself.

Well, just tried labbing the combo. Hitting skrull assist when you do the jump MMH, on the first M, times it perfectly, unfortunately the jump loop causes a knockdown just out of Skrull’s range. Hitting it in the middle of the jump loop, with slight delays in the Ms, while harder to time lets it hit midscreen. Then you wavedash, catch them with st. H, S, air MM(double jump)MM S, TK Trap and Lightning Hyper. I got 705k. With another otg assist, this combo could do some very good damage for Trish.

And I tried stuff with her and Nova, what I got was bleh, cr.LMHS, air M dH, air light trap. air dash MH, land, call Nova plus H, cr. H, QCF L, Nova connects, and the bounce. does early 400s before anything else, but out of the corner I can’t wavedash close enough to launch. And without that launch the damage is not better than her solo stuff.

And Tenderizer I cannot get shit for extending Trish combos.

Thanks for the helpful info. The reason I use Orbital Grudge instead of Stone Smite is to protect Trish for the most part. I set up alot of traps and my opponents tend to rush me down recklessly trying to hit Trish but I just use Skrull to back them up a little bit. Also when a character is coming in with Nova out I can call Skrull and use Energy Javelin. If they press a button then the OG will usually hold them long enough for the javelin to come down and i will get a ground bounce and a free combo.
Also after the Nova DHC to Trish if I dont want Nova back out there for whatever reason I can tag in Skrull, SJ Meteor Smash and Inferno on impact. If you wait any longer they will flip out.

umm… so im trying to use skrull on a phoenix team, i was thinking Chris/Skrull/Phoenix? any thoughts?

Not sure if im the only one who’s tried this team comp but Shuma/Dok/Skrull with Ray/Bomb/Tenderizer is pretty great. skrull and dok are beastly considering his tenderizer locks up incoming characters into his goo-overhead unblockables. (Guess shuma could do the same into Lv3) But then again, skrull can do pretty much everything alone too. Ray and bomb both OTG so extending combos is ezpz. DHCs work well and if your execution is good enough, theres a shuma tac unblockable and a modok TAC infinite but thats pushing it. Dok’s infinite durability bomb helps protect shuma getting in and otg’s to extend combos if needed (although it has a slow startup). The Killer Illumination could be a safe DHC from shuma’s taunt stance like skrulls armor on his skrull torch.lots of other stuff, but im pretty new so help/tips would be appreciated :stuck_out_tongue:

are you sure you even need dorm’s liberation for this? it’s a pretty sick reset but it seems to work even without the dorm assist.

Can you give an example how you are using it?

it’s pretty much what you said before. i can do a simple ground chain of s.L s.M cr.H s.S j.MMHS. if they’re in the corner, or pretty near the corner, i jump-airdash then d.H. as soon as that animation ends, i backdash and immediately do command grab H. midscreen, this only works if they tech forward or neutral tech. the purpose of the corner is so that if they back tech, they’ll still be within range of the command grab. seems to work whether the Dorm assist hits or not (if it doesn’t hit, you should’ve done 10hits before you command grab. if it hits, you would’ve done 11hits)

you can also try (in corner):

ground series, air series, stone smite, stone dunk, backdash, F+H, (air tech), command grab.

I’ve been playing around lately with Spiderman/Skrull. Skrull’s stone smite can actually OTG spidermans web throw and his spider sting (if you havent used a groundbounce yet) there are some very good damaging combos afterwards.
My main team, though, is Dorm/Magnus/Skrull, it works really well, especially Dorm/Skrull.

what other assists can do this anyways?
