Thanks dude I just use OG assist I dont like using TENDERIZAH! b/c if u whiff it skrull stays out there for way 2 long its to risky. Like the video show all u have to do is launch your opponent do his air series finishing off with inferno and b4 the last hit dhc into frank and the rest is common sense. This trick also works with nova aswell since it also causes a hard knockdown if canceled. Remember btw to cancel b4 skrulls last hit of inferno I wish I knew this sooner
I’d figure I would try to post here to see if I could some serious help, I’ve been using Vergil and Skrull for a long time but still can’t find that 3rd character to mess with these two, hopefully I could some help for my team any suggestions?
Hey guys im in a crisis…I run Nova/Doom/Skrull and im having a hard time picking the assists Should I keep doom or skrull as anchor…and what assists for doom/skrull
Hard to say if you want to keep them in that order. IMHO Vergil needs a fast beam/arrow assist (Magneto/Doom/IM/Hawkeye…) while Skrull benefits the most from a slow moving one (Drones/Rocks/Daggers/…).
Skrull basically gives nothing to Doom aside from a semi-decent GTFO assist. OTOH, Dooms assists are excellent for Skrull since they can make Meteor Smash and Elastic Slam safe or extend his combos. So unless you feel like derping around with XF3 Skrull I’d suggest your team order to be Nova/Skrull/Doom.

Both of dooms lbeam and hidden missiles are great for both nova and skrull. Dooms beam allows skrulls main approaches to be safe specifically meteor smash. As for nova it makes most of novas unsafe moves safe which is really good b/c he has alot of unsafe moves. It also adds to novas already insane left/right mixups. Hidden missiles are also good since it locks down them down for e.slam mix ups and helps skrulls rushdown in general. Since hidden missiles lock down the opponet so well it benefits novas left/right mix ups and his high/low mix up aswell especially when in the corner. I say try them both and see which one fits your playstyle best.
hm, I kinda have to disagree here. Plasma Beam does not make MS safe, it’s way too fast and hits before MS while you want your assist to hit AFTER MS instead to make it safe. Hidden Missiles on the other hand hit too late and your MS can be punished in the mean time, i. e. by a cinematic hyper.
IMHO Doom’s best assist for Skrull is Molecular Shield, it covers his ground approach, covers ES and makes MS safe from half to full screen. Then again, I don’t play Nova so I don’t know what would be the best assist for the two of them. But all in all, you can’t really pick mispick with Doom
as a nova player and skrull player, imo, doom’s assists work really with both of them. Unfortunately, they are different assists.
my vanilla skrull team was Skrull/Dorm/Doom, and rocks were definitely the best assist. the startup is fast and it’s great for getting people off you (because i think skrull is the best when he’s attacking from mid-screen and has some space to work with). rocks also travel slowly across the screen. Like what badonkadonk said, this makes MS safe. it can also make whiffed ES attempts safe.
meanwhile, Nova works really well with plasma beam. all of his rushes/rocket punches are unsafe (except i think the centurion rush M), and so is his M slide. throwing out the beam while doing them makes all those moves safe. the beam also comes out fast enough that box dashing over them will cross up and the j.H has a large enough hitbox to make for easy hitconfirms.
that said, i think you should settle on a point character (either nova or skrull), pick the appropriate doom assist to back him up, and then have the other character as an anchor. Both Inferno and Power-of-the-Nova-Force DHC really well into Sphere Flame anyway.

i’ve been running modok(barrier)/doom(missiles)/skrull (tenderizer).
I basically just derp with level 3 x factor skrull. Thinking of maybe putting doom anchor as that is where I normally have him, but yeah… missiles is generally the best assist for modok. should I just switch to rocks as it seems as if that’s a very good assist for skrull, or stick with missiles?
I’ve been running Nova (strike)/Skrull (grudge)/Doom (missiles) since launch and it’s a great team full of synergy and fun to play. Nova is best on point because he does good damage, builds meter and needs assist help to make his mixups above average. Skrull is in a strange place because on one hand he needs a lockdown assist to make his specials safe and unlock his incredibly nasty mid range reset/mixup game otherwise he’s hard to win with alone but he’s also one of the biggest beneficiaries of XF3. At the suggestion of blamblam (shoutouts to IRC) I put skrull 2nd because that way I can still destroy teams with his resets/mixups+ missile assist but also activate the still very powerful XF2 Skrull if I need to. And finally Doom on anchor because of how much Nova and Skrull benefit from missiles and also because as a stand alone character without XF doom can shut entire teams down better than Nova or Skrull.
Gravametric pulse with javlin and missile assist spam is really effective for how dumb simple it is, grudge assist is nce for high/low mixups, dhc synergy is nice, Skrull ES setups with missile assist is really good, blah blah other shit you get the picture.
Make no mistake though sent drones are still the best assist for Skrull but any lockdown like coldstar, missiles, black hole, or vajra work just as well.
If I’m running Dorm(D. Hole)/Hulk(A.A. G. Charge)/Skrull(Stone Smite), is there any particular order it should be in?

I’d switch Dorm and Hulk. Otherwise Hulk would be all on his own trying to find a way in. Your team looks pretty solid. No idea if you already know about that, but Stone Smite is a nice combo extension for Dorm. You can do corner-to-corner carry like

I find it’s better for my DHCs if I keep Hulk second(lol gamma crush), the order I usually run it as is Dorm(point)/Hulk(2nd)/Skrull(anchor).
I’ve found that Stone smite is pretty godlike for combo extensions, yes.
Have you tried running skrull as first or second so he can make use of dark hole assist? I think Viscious posted good results with that.
I’ll be at big 2 this saturday, but my scrubby ass won’t be able to body people like I know skrull can.
So I’ve been playing around with Nemesis (Rocket Launcher Slam), Frank West (Shopping Cart) and Skrull (Tenderizer). Absolutely hilarious team and its so much fun to play. The assists actually work well with each character and allows the strengths of each character to come alive. As I play more with it I will be sure to talk more about it.
