I am a huge fan of some of the series in this game (Fairy Tail, Hayate, Ippo, Kenichi) and have been trying to track down and read various SS/SM series that could have representation in the game to be familiar with the characters. Is there a list of all the confirmed characters/series shown so far anywhere?

It’s amazing…this game is taking so long to come out, yet we all know it’ll be an unplayable piece of crap, much like the 3d HNK fighter and the Heat The Soul series.
Well I don’t know. These crossover things usually get bigger budgets compared to the games based on only one IP.
Which is why the jump games were plenty fun. compared to like you said, the HnK games and the recent Soul Eater fighter.

New screens - some are a bit small, but this and the following link confirm that there’s more playable characters per series; Tokine from Kekkaishi, Takamura from Hajime no Ippo and Lucy from Fairy Tail amongst others.
