Hello, I hope I’m posting this in the right area.
I go by BirdKnight, or Frederika (Rika for short). I live in New Haven, Connecticut, and I’m looking to find my local fighting game scene, if there’s anything in CT for me to check out. After August, I’ll be living in New Rochelle, New York for half of the year, as I’m moving to college, so I’d like to find any bit of the FGC up there too, especially since I want to start a club for fighting games at my college. I don’t know how to drive, but for the summer weekends and any weeks I have off from school, my parents can drive me around (I have a job, so I can’t meet up on weekdays unless it’s a holiday, when the average person has a party to go to).
The games I play the most are BlazBlue and Guilty Gear. I prefer BlazBlue, since I’ve already figured out my main to be Ragna, while I’m still struggling to find the right character in Guilty Gear, but it’s probably a pick between Answer or Ramlethal.
I’m not a very skilled player: I can do inputs and combos in practice/challenge mode well enough, but when I get in an actual match, I just blank out and can only do the most basic combos. I was once shut down on netplay and called a “stylish f*g”, then the person left the lobby. I haven’t played netplay since, as I feel I’m not good enough.
So I want to improve, and meet new people. I want to also make new friends, as I’m a bit of a shut in.
I really hope I did this right, I’d hate to have made a mistake on my first post.
Wrong section
Should I repost this, and if so, in what section?
Saikyo dojo
Speaking of which, do we even have an introduction thread here on this forum?
And welcome, BirdKnight. I do hope you enjoy your stay.
@BirdKnight hit up Bacardi
Anyway…you single? How old are you? Also plz provide a pic. It’s only common courtesy to post a pic of yourself when making an online introduction.
I’m just a Prince of Jerusalem/Dentist/philanthropist/actor looking for my future Queen.
I believe the unspoken rule is we don’t need every guy who passes through’s life story, we get to know people through how they interact with us, not some fucking resume in a thread no-one gives a shit about.
There’s the SRK I know
are you thicc

Well, kinda. Welcome anyways. A mod will probably move this in the Matchmaking section

Hey all, I’m ZeroAlucard27 (for those that didn’t see, lol), and I’m new to these forums. But I’m not new to fighting games in general. Been playing since Virtua Fighter 2 back in the mid-90s, and that remains my favorite fighting game of all time.
I’ve recently gotten back into the fighting game scene, but I’ve never been able to get that good. I’m looking for any kind of help to get over that competency barrier, whether it’s training partners, or just folks to bounce ideas off of. Good to meet everyone, and I look forward to working with people on this site, and maybe enter (read: get my rear end handed to me in) a tournament someday soon!
See you…out there.
Who bitch these is?
Alright, I’ll just…lurk until I get used to how this place works. On every other forum I’ve been to I’ve had to make an introduction post, so I assumed this place was the same.

There is a intro post, but done on a different board on the forums
Every forums have their own particular culture and rules (both written and unwritten).
Don’t take it too hard.
Darksakul is right, BirdKnight.
GenDis is just showing you love in its typical shitty hater fashion.
Actually, after looking around, I noticed that this place is less tuned to the games I’m into, so I’ll probably just look for another forum, or find people on Facebook, I dunno.
