i have taken some time (since my stick is broke) and decided to build a jQuery plugin
the plugin is called $.fightstick and you use it to record keystroke actions and then you can output html or bbCode to post here
this forum (Fighting Game Discussion) won’t allow me to post images, but you can see it here in action on shoryuken
in addition, you can link to your recorded set

new icon graphics for ultras
EX multi press now available (thanks mIRC for the reminder :wonder:)
are there any videos on youtube showing hand/finger motions being recorded whilst in casual play, or executing certain combo’s?.. 90% of highskilled players hold their sticks and press button’s identically.
?
Isn’t a programable pad just something that executes pre-recorded stuff?
This allows you to input a combo with exact timing and show it to people, so instead of having to rely on someone finding the link timing on your combo through trial and error, you just post that up and it shows exactly when you pressed those buttons.
Or say you have a move where the stick and buttons shouldn’t be pressed at the same time it is easier to show it like that. (I think an example would be Dio’s eye lazer and “Za Wardo!”, I’m not completely sure because I’m a complete JoJo noob but even if I’ve got the move wrong, the example shows what I mean)
Pretty cool. You can probably hook it up to Joy2Key and record combos using a joystick.
Suggestions:
It would be cool if it had a frame counter +slo-mo feature.
If someone sends you a URL to a combo, let the user try to recreate themselves and then compare their inputs and timing to the original. Give them visual feedback about what they’re doing wrong. Or give them a “Success” message like in SFIV’s Trial Mode
Have different templates for different games (eg. Tekken, KOF, Blazblue)
some feedback (can someone else confirm this?)
pressing lp+lk/mp+mk/hp+hk repeatedly alternates between throw/focus/taunt or attack buttons
pressing a diagonal direction displays an extra direction after
depends on how hyper input your fingers are i guess.
kinda tried to make the input as close reactionary to how the sfiv system works.
that beig said, it will be reflective in the game if you hammer a button. it only outputs based on the keyframes of animation
Goddamn…this shit needs a better name. It’s like people thing putting “fight” before everything sounds less retarded than the term “fightstick” sounds…and it doesn’t. I’m reminded of a quote from a failed nbc series from '04:
