Introduce Yourself and Everything Else

Ooh, been looking forward to something like this! Definitely enjoy Tech Talk more than the rest of SRK, so a general BS area could be a lot of fun.

  1. Ed
  2. 23
  3. BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, though Garou is really catching up fast.
  4. Super Metroid (speed runs are down to 1:06), though Ikaruga is also high up there.
  5. Hellboy, Terminator 2, Fight Club, and Impostor to name a few.
  6. Metal (when it’s not angry mcscreamy) for genre, Machinae Supremacy for fave band.
  7. I play the Violin, consider myself an above average artist, and work IT for a public school district. Yay SRK trolling while waiting for tech support calls!

Also, I saw mention of Google Wave! =O I’m already a member, so do we have an ongoing SRK / Tech Talk Wave I could join in on? Could be fun, and a lot easier to participate in at work than an IRC channel.

I love the Dune universe as well. The scope of that universe is just amazing.

In my circle of friends we’ve got kind of a running joke that the original 80s Dune movie saved a friend’s life. Long story short, his pet (still fully poisonous) Emperor Scorpion almost managed to escape its cage that night. The time of night that it tried to escape, we would all normally have been asleep. We just happened to be up extra late that night finishing up Dune, and thus were able to catch it in the act. :wtf:

Rec is so badass. It’s one of the few movies that we watch regularly. We walked out of Quarantine and got a refund at the theater because it was a piss poor remake. I’m trying to think if I’ve seen the original Dark Water. I really enjoyed the American version with Jennifer Connelly. Thanks for the reply.
