But those are all specifically game licensed. If we (as in Mad Catz) decides to make a part/with original artwork, we will put our logo on it.
Since it is a replacement panel anyways, is there a chance it can just be a metal etching/engraving on the underside of the panel?
Im sorry but did you people not realize you could just easily get replacement art. Not hard get the art get some adhesive and there you go. Its a MadCatz product. they are a multi million dollar industry, they are gonna have their logo on their products. Its the way it is
Guys, I don’t think there is a chance that the MC logo won’t be on there. It’s like Sony not putting SONY on their TV’s.
I don’t exactly recall a MC logo on the SFIV TEs (it’s on the box and on the sticker on the bottom plate though). However, the inevitable logo will probably be the size of the one on the “Asian” TEs at worst (or is it at best? No matter right?).
are you suggesting I just get the art printed on glossy paper and then glue it onto the metal plate? ummmm no thanks
I dont know anywhere that sells really nice quality lazer cut art with a thin, clear plastic, protective coating on the front like the ones madcatz does…I don’t really want art under a plexi and I live in the UK so lami-label isn’t even an option…
I would LOVE it if madcatz started doing custom artwork where you could upload your image and get it printed by them in the same style as the ones that come on a TE…Id be happy to pay the $30 just for that (without any metal plate)
This really isn’t the kind of specialized venture that a company like madcatz is going to get into. You don’t have any idea what goes into that. Even aside from the fact they would never turn a profit on it, they aren’t looking to get into a copyright issue because their team didn’t ID your random anime character as intellectual property.
Markman, let’s keep this simple. 6 button astro city layout. Official Madcatz art that can be taken off if you wish to go with game on graphics. I say roll out with that option first and see what the reaction is like. If it sells well enough maybe offer a couple of more layouts with different artwork. Also, while your at it give us colored side caps for the original TE’s. Oh, and Happy New Year!
Side caps can go on any TE not just the round 1 and 2 The TE-s sides connect the same way and the screws go in same location
The only other solution if you guys did not want to include art is to have them powder coated like the namco’s are then people would have the option to add art or leave it as is

You know, living in the UK doesn’t mean you can’t outsource artwork from places. I recently bought a 0.5 later of plastic from a hobbyist store and it’s held my artwork quite nicely over artwork and doesn’t pop over the bezel.
I would love a replacement metal template and separate mounting brackets.
What are the chances we would see a non-curved, straight, eight button layout?
I think this would be a great idea. I personally like the viewlix (8 button) layout but more options is always good. I would be particularly interested in a hitbox style layout. Although i haven’t tried one yet if you look at it from a logical standpoint it really is superior to the joystick in many ways. Also with madcatz pushing it i think it will gain popularity incredibly fast, especially among those who haven’t played on a stick much so they dont have to worry about re-learning.
Thats just my 2 cents but i dont know if i can be rightfully counted since Madcatz doesn’t ship to Canada. 
If you have any pull in that situation Markman, there are a lot of canadians who are dying to get their hands on your products. Its extremely frustrating to see all the good stuff madcatz is coming out with and getting to the point where you stop caring how much it would cost and are just trying somehow, anyhow to get it. Then you realize its just not going to happen.
Thats the situation i was in until MajinHurricane did his final group buy and went extremely out of his way to get me and some other users sticks. I was lucky to see his thread and im now the proud owner of a madcatz Chun-Li TE S, but i know there are a lot of others like me who aren’t going to get lucky like that and it sucks.
Anyway sorry for getting off topic with that. Keep up the great work with Madcatz, and i hope replacement panel idea is realized.
In regards to Canada. Canada will be able to get some TE sticks very soon. Keep your eyes on these forums.

I think depending on the actual product 30 sounds a tad high, I haven’t seen it obviously, so in my head it would be about a 25 plus shipping sounds fair.
$30 is a good price point.
