I just got a PSP, I opened it and realized I have no use for it so I didn’t touch anything.
In other PSP threads I see people listing version #s, is that important? Its just a regular black psp.
Well the main reason people usually get PSPs is to mod them, so the security firmware version is usually what people are looking for, anything up to 3.50 can be modded with an old version of Lumines, and after its modded, u can technically play anything u want on ur psp from nintendo->snes->ps1->to Mame…

how do you check the version?
Check your system settings via firmware, you can also find out by checking the firmware in the “game” category.
