Interest Check: Monthly Orange County Tournament (So Cal)

Hey guys, my friend runs a group that runs tournaments (http://www.epicgamerproductions.com/) and their big tournaments are once a month in Orange at the Legendary Lotus.

He doesn’t currently have Skullgirls on the lineup, but if there is some interest in it, I was considering asking him to run it.

We usually get quite a good turnout at these tournaments, 50ish for MK, 30ish for Marvel, sometimes more sometimes less.

Yo make this happen! I’m going to the tourny on Saturday for Marvel but I’m MUCH better at Skullgirls (Got into UMvC3 real late). I’m the Ryan that kept posting about Skullgirls on that event page!

Are there even any other offline Skullgirls events around SoCal?

That would be awesome! I really want to make this happen, I hope we can get more people interested in it.

Oh and it would have a high quality stream.

The Super Arcade Blazblue crowd are running a bi-monthly Skullgirls/Blazblue event. They’re hosting one this Saturday. The more Skullgirls events the better. I’d definitely show up to future Skullgirls tourneys you guys host.

I live in Irvine and I am just getting into Skullgirls, I’d definitely be down for a monthly event so close! Do you know if there is a June event planned? I didn’t see it on the EGP website.

There isn’t one for June or July because of MLG (Like I said, the biggest turnout for us is MK9) and EVO.

I live in SANTA ANA. I can host casuals at my house. I can have 5-6 peps over.

This would work out better for me Fridays from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
I have 1TV set up with PS3 and 2 sticks.

Don’t let the lack of responses here stop the tourny! Just put together some details, set a date, then make an event on the facebook page and see how much interest you can garner from there. If there’s not enough “going” before a certain date then you can cancel. I’d REALLY love to go to an offline SG tourney!

Damn, if only I still lived in Costa Mesa I would be all over this.

(Though I much prefer being here in Hawaii anyway.)

Id love to go if only they were on weekends. im all the way on the west LA end, i cant make the drive over.
