Fuck, snap on buttons are difficult, same with screw ins. Last time i tried that my catz were Mad.
You must anger your cat. So it can be a Madcatz. Then the snap ins will fit.

Depends on the breed really. Siamese are easier to deal with then say Persians. American Shorthairs will refuse anything but Happ/IL parts. Japanese Bobtails are the opposite and have a marked preference for Sanwa/Seimitsu. California Spangled will accept both Japanese and Korean parts and may be coaxed to accept US parts with the right conditions (Mahvel).
I had a cat name buttons! But he ran away. Twas a tabby cat. He does not like Vietnamese parts.
