Insightful/Interesting Documentaries

Good quick review

Led to an art one - says it was on netflix, but back in 2009

Running Fence - California 1976

Valley Curtain - Colorado, 1972

Surrounded Islands - Miami, 1983

Welding on the Farm - 1948

This is really striking to see. Not only does it look colorful and wondrous for something filmed in 1948, but one can see that manual arc welding has a long history and has remained consistent in modern times.

@MechWarrior:
I just thought you might find this cool or interesting. You should start watching at 3:55 and skip around if you wish.

Arc welding started in the latter parts of the nineteenth century. It got picked up by Mitsubishi in the early twentieth century and gradually improved until it was widespread during WWII. When it first started, it wasn’t that great, but the technique gradually improved to what it is today.

I did. The history of metallurgy is always worth looking back on.
Anyways, the more ways of metalworking that are available to someone without much in the way of material/monetary wealth(hi!), the better.
