INSANE shipping to canada

Hi, i was recently looking into buying a madcatz tournament edition fightstick. So i went on the capcom site and found the te and added to cart. Now, when i calculated shipping i entered the location nearest to mine. I live just south of Winnipeg, OR about 2 hours away from north dakota. So i calculated it to north dakota, first with the cheapest option. ups ground= FREE!?!?!?!?!. went to the most expensive = 30 dollars. than i went to where i actually live. And this pissed me right the fuck off. I started with the cheapest option = 55 DOLLARS!1!!!one! Seriously i never got this, why does shipping like 2 hours north with the slowest, cheapest option possible cost 25 dollars more than than overnight shipping to somewhere 2 hours south? Can someone please enlighten me because this is pissing me the fuck off.

It has to do with the fees involved transferring the parcel to another shipping agency and fees for customs inspections. USPS has to pay something to Canada Post to transfer the package.

God damn i always get the shit end of the deal. Shipping is expensive from U.S. to Canada, If I go one ebay not only is the normal price jacked up but they try to scam you with boosted shipping too, there is nowhere in my city that sells them.

Uhhh… this must be your first time buying things online.
Also, wrong place to complain, go write a letter to Canada Post or something.

I dunno about where you live, but I live in Vancouver BC. Right across the border is a place call Point Roberts. It’s about a 1 hour drive and they have a service where you can send packages to them and they charge you like 2 bucks to receive a package. So technically it is a US address you’re shipping to and you can save money. Depending on the value of the package, when you take it back across the border to Canada, they won’t charge you anything. Usually anything 100 and below is safe from taxes.

You should check to see if there is any type of services like that near where you live.

1: No car can’t drive down to U.S.
2: Don’t have passport either.
3: over 100 bucks, taxes.
4: There probably is something like that near winnipeg, but unless it is actually IN winnipeg i can’t get it.

check kijiji u will be surprised actuallly. search up for “PS3 stick” or “arcade stick” or “fight stick”

Wow, there is just no end to your whining, is there? This is Tech Talk. We’re not here to explain to you shipping costs.

Maybe you should check out Amazon.ca where the shipping is… free? Also, now you can order the Hori Real Arcade V3 SA now, which is shipping in two weeks.

could always do that

i do every day

You know what i’m keeping my rat’s ass.

Nice triforce fail.

Buying sticks from Japan is also expensive. Someone should fix that.
