So anyone having trouble cancelling specials for her? I can’t seem to get them to work properly but I can do it for other characters. For example, i try f.2 2 2 QCB2 but the QCB2 won’t come out. I do it immediately after the last 2 in the basic combo but it wont work.
make sure to not press any other buttons. for example, i sometimes mash that string online and i’ll probably do F 2 2 2 2 >DB2 and it won’t cancel. you also have to cancel it pretty early. i personally think her F222 should be F22, and F2233 should be F233 or something.
Have you tried slowing down your inputs just a hair? It helped improve consistency for me.
the timing on her moves threw me off. Try to do it like a sort of target combo. Look at her 2233 combo. You want to have the same timing when you f2,2,2, qcb/qcf 2. You really don’t want a gap in timing after the f2, 2, 2.
i was in training mode practicing shadow raven>maximum distance soul crush because pig of the hut said it might be a frame trap…
did anyone notice that all of raven’s special moves pull the opponent slightly forward when blocked? that’s weird.
found a pretty ambiguous cross up attempt with raven. basically, you end your combo with F22U1, it won’t launch them over you because i use B3 in my BnB, jump over them with air 2, and it will cross them up. i only played around with it for a few minutes, but there were a few times where i got it to not cross up as well. so depending on your timing, it can be a real pain to block.
and whose bright idea was it to make raven’s grabs clashable? that looks so stupid. in mortal kombat, the rule was a breaker can only be activated if the attacker is making physical contact with the opponent; i assumed it would be the same in this game. as of now, her only unchashable special is dormammu pillar >.>
by the way, i’ve been having a lot of success with that shadow raven>soul crush “frame trap.” people want to dash/act after the projectile, but they get grabbed xD

i just saw that picture in the other thread. i’m guessing that’s her teen titans costume from the comics, not the cartoon, since that’s the theme of this pack. does anyone have a picture of that costume in the comics?

the last 1 is the new 52 raven which u should prey for if you don’t like her face(all love her body lol 0 complains)
ohh, it’s the third one. i got confused because i found the first two on google, but those have two jewels below her neck and earrings instead of one red jewel.
i don’t know about the last one. it’s more birdlike than i’m used to, and her shoes are ugly xD it reminds me more of hawkgirl with the bird emphasis. also, i like how she has just heels in the first one, but you can see she has longer boots in the costume we’re getting tomorrow.
I think she’d look a lot better with the mask across the upper part of the head. Just like in the cartoon.

I have no idea why these are so difficult for me…
You have to already be inputting the 3’s right after the 2’s.
You have to commit to that string early and you can’t mash that string at all.
just beat my first flowchart bane yesterday, but i wasn’t very confident in the matchup.
it’ pretty easy for her to get around his charge when her demon stance is active: she can teleport behind him and use event horizon to get a full combo. his trait should diminish sometimes during your combo, allowing for more damage. also, if his trait already ran out and he’s crouch blocking full screen until it cools down, raven can use her pillars to chip him (2% each) and use event horizon if you think he’ll try to dash away. it’s a shame bane doesn’t also take increased chip damage while his trait is recharging.
