Injustice: Gods Among Us; New Game by NetherRealm Studios

I remember him mentioning her and Ares being the “anti-zoning zoners”. He brought how just when you think your safe throwing projectiles they teleport and blow you up Ares especially. Raven is more rushdown than Ares is tho.

So yeah they both are good at going from zoning to rushdown very quickly and dictating the match is my impressions from what he was saying.

I thought it was funny how he mention Hawkgirl being able to time people out with her flying. “She can fly in the air throwing her mace not giving a fuck” was one of the best one liners. Says Hawkgirl could easily be a counter pick character to a lot of high tier. Then says Green Arrow bodies her free lol.

Oliver does body her free. He puts arrows in her no matter her position.

i was happy when tom brady said raven is an anti-zoner! i’ve never really played one of them before. i’m always the zoning character having to deal with the anti-zoners.

what i’m dying to know is whether raven’s grabs are considered projectiles or not: if they are, she’s toast; if they aren’t, she’ll probably be a great/annoying character. and can’t ares use his teleport anytime? raven needs to be in azarath mode, but it both look insanely fast.

I just saw the story on YouTube, it’s a bit silly. Not as good as I had hoped.

It’s better than Day 1 MK9.

$2k pot bonus at WNF on the 17th?

Find that cheap shit now and abuse it

There are gonna be balance issues in every fighting game upon release. At least NRS prepared for this instance with the Day 1 Patch.

Same here. I don’t understand why people wait until everybody skill level is low, just because they don’t want to play a game it’s elite form.

Just heard Hawkgirl can cancel most of her ground normals into flight.

She just became my secondary.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

Unless we get Black Canary of course.

Is the full trait list out yet? I still don’t know what Ares and Killer Frost do.

Yes she can indeed do that. And she has a DIVEKICK. (sorry…always have to put DIVEKICK in caps…thanks a lot Keits).

Flight is her trait. Most characters can cancel anything into trait. I took to the lab and I liked how she plays. I might add her to my rotation.

On the other hand, it’s pretty common for early “balance issues” to turn out to not be a problem at all, or to look completely benign compared to stuff that comes out later.

NRS shouldn’t worry about balance right now. They should only patch things that are game breaking, like infinites or glitches that freeze the game. I honestly feel like early balance patches stifle player development.

Superman, Green Lantern, Bane and Shazam traits are a damage boost. How lame.

so, killer frost has Jin Kisaragi’s drive?

and it’s really lame how most of the traits do that same thing

thanks for this; i was wondering if characters would be able to do that. maybe raven could come up with some dirty demon stance stuff after a combo. so trait counts as a special move?

Except they’re not that simple.

GL’s boost changes the properties on his moves, most importantly his lift allowing for more combo opportunites.

Bane relies on his boost. The more stacks he uses the more armor and strength he gets at the cost of a bigger withdrawal when Venom runs out which means he’ll take much more damage as well.

Shazam makes his punches unblockable, enough said.

For anybody who has the game (or can ask a pro):

which characters will be the best for people who are still relatively new for fighting games? I have a lot of friends who don’t understand FGC concepts such as resets, +/- on block, etc. Who is somebody they could pick up and start doing interesting stuff right away, and still keep some level of competitiveness?

Yes, but they are not really so similar. Green Lanterns trait also boosts his specials in some ways, Superman’s trait makes his moves break super armor, Bane can stack his trait multiple times for greater effect. I have no idea what Shazam’s trait does but doubt it’s just a damage boost.
