Yo should I bother with the guide? I want a reliable source for all the unlocks and tips and stuff but $34.99 is pricey, particularly when the internet exists. What y’all think I should do?
Can’t say for sure just how “cheap” anything is at the moment given it’s day -3 but it’s clear that some guys that are on now are just doing shit that most players don’t have a full understanding of. Like how dudes always get blown up by grapplers in month 1.
No guide is worth $35, especially when the Frame Data is subject to change at a moment’s notice AND it’s in the game to begin with. So you’d only be buying the guide for the Perfect Legend/Tom Brady strategies which could also be nullified within a week. Do not bother.

as for the guide, i dunno. the mk9 guide wasn’t worthy to be my dogs toilet paper. (u)mvc3 guide was pretty good, but some of the strategies they listed for the characters were completely outdated and kind of insulting to read.
$35 is way too much. that’s half the price of the new game. i figured it would be $20, but even that’s iffy. i’m not advocating piracy, but you know someone will post it on the internet so you can at least have a look at it.
They’ll probably be up on GameFAQ’s or something within a week. If not there then on IGN’s wiki or something.
$20 on Amazon, the collector in me wants it. It comes with art and a comic and stuff too, so I’ll pay $20 for that

Its been said so many times but I love the backgrounds in this game. So many cameos. Just noticed Deadshot in the back of Stryker’s Island. Probably late to that one, but damn its cool.
The cameos in the game are awesome. Hugo Strange observing the fight in the normal Arkham stage, Mr. Terrific on the reactor area of the watchtower, The Atom in Insurgency, Kilowag and Atrocitus in Metropolis, statues and costumes of various JSA members in the Hall of Justice. Fanservice everywhere
Edit: Unblockable bullets being -very brief- is good enough. I’ll see once I get the game.
Deathstroke’s trait, last time I played, was unblockable bullets, followed by a period of bullets that won’t hit the opponent at all. Did they change it?
No they didn’t, it’s still unblockable bullets, it’s extremely short, last maybe long enough for one machine gun fire, afterwards all bullets harmlessly pass through the opponent for a longer time. allowing people to easily close the distance.
the overhead grenade after the guns is the meter burn option.
Woohoo, I got the game but I’m absolutely terrible with anyone other than batman. Woofa, my least favorite.

Everyone’s sleeping on Shazam at the moment, but I’m calling it now; his trait and crouching/standing command grab mix-ups will be, dare I say, godlike. Day 1 Main.

I have some videos of Shazam on my channel the video quality isn’t that great but it shows you what he can. Shazam seems to be a reset vortex heavy character. the only thing bad about him that I can say right now is the start up frames on his teleport doesn’t allow you to close gaps with ease which only makes sense because once he gets in you’re going to have a hard ass time keeping him back
Yeaaah, one of the NRS developers was on Arts stream the other day and he compared Shazam to Seth calling him an all in type character, 50-50 mixup machine. and I said:
“Man, if you’re trying to sell your fighting game, I suggest you never compare a character in it to Seth.”
