[spoiler=]Especially makes no sense since in the prequel comic Dick treated Damien much like did during his time as Batman. Billy might have had hero worship for Supes but he shouldn’t have been bodied the way he did. Pure bullshit[/details]
at least it actually tells us how many bars the connection is. remember how mortal kombat said everyone was full bars, but the match turned out like 0 bars? i guess that’s a step up. i realize it’s not going to be the same as offline, but the netcodes for some of the fighters i’ve played are unforgivable.
people were also dropping combos in the demo and training mode on sabin’s stream. it could be lag, but it could also be people not having a full grasp on comboing in that game yet. same thing happened to me when i first got mk9/the injustice demo.
i haven’t played the 360 version, but just from watching videos on youtube, it did seem to run a little smoother. one notable difference was the xrays: the xbox version maintained the 60fps during the xrays so they played really fast (and screen tore); the xrays on the ps3 version were slowed down so you could really see the bones breaking.
the game had a total of five patches. they mostly dealt with character balance. the changes went from total hit to total miss. what ultimately ruined the game for me was the last patch because that’s when they super buffed wakeup attacks. in the beginning, only a select few characters had reliable wakeup attacks, but after that last patch, practically everyone had one. because of this, some characters lost their wakeup strategies, and you basically can’t attack someone on wakeup.
If you’re still looking for a copy in NYC I have 2-3 places that might have it… PM me or tweet me @IUsuparx (probably read this faster)
RE: my comment on the netcode… I ran through like a dozen matches, half felt good and the other half was like SF4ish when it lags. We’ll have a better sample of how it performs when the game officially comes out next week.
Well watching PL actually gave me a bit of hope. When he wasn’t running Coast to Coast he seemed to do decent enough, landing most of his shit. And considering his stream runs off the same connection as his XBL, that’s saying something.
[details=Spoiler] I wouldn’t take too much consideration into the interactions of the prequel comic, considering the full script was done before the prequel comic had even started being written. If there are any discrepancies it would be the comic’s fault.
That said Superman owning Shazam is bull. If they wanted to have that happen they could have had him turn into Billy after he quits (to show he isn’t doing it anymore) and then have superman kill him when he is defenseless. [/details]
well, even people in mk9 could pull of their combos after a while. i was doing rain’s uppercut combos online. the lag was unbearable, but all you had to do was input stuff a lot earlier than usual. i could even pull off my combos in ultimate marvel vs lag 3. people being able to combo online is a good sign, but it’s not hardcore, compelling evidence. i’m hopeful, though.
I never said it was but the thing is that all of that happens after a while. This is PL’s first time on it, and it’s in substandard conditions. That’s why I’m a bit more hopeful than usual.
Using the real ways of discerning delay and such without playing it (like reactions and such) is hard to do when the game is so new. People won’t have said reactions and counters to begin with.
what should I be spending my credits on? Save up for gold booster packs, buy more characters, buy upgrades, or what? Almost done the second character set of challenges
A highly situational combo done only on a certain area of one stage, only with superman’s trait and costing 3 is not grounds for the removal of all interactables.
