I have been playing it on my plain iPhone 4
in the right corner it says “ios memory warning” once in a while but it plays completely fine besides some occasional slowdown~

i only have green lantern and harley so far. that’s really all i wanted, but since i don’t feel like playing any of my other games, i figured i’d try to get as many costumes as i can until the 16th. at the moment, i’m grinding credits so i can get the 25% off gold booster pack and hopefully get batman or someone better.
EDIT: oh yeah, what does that “ios memory warning” thing mean? i get that while playing, too.
it doesn’t seem like there would be much of an incentive to use SF inputs, especially if doing something like hcf already translates as b,f with MK inputs selected…all you would be doing switching to SF inputs is giving yourself 3 more opportunities to screw up the motion.
Well let’s wait for release to see what’s up with the inputs.
Hopefully they keep environmental interaction tourney legal throughout the game’s lifespan.
I’m thinking some stages will be banned though. Banning stages is always a drag cause competitive players have no reason to choose them.
I really wish people wouldn’t talk about banning shit this early in the game unless something is really buggy or a real problem for players.
I’m talking game breaking glitches…or KOFXIII’s Dark Ash stage.
I heard there is no block button and you can change it from MK inputs to SF inputs (e.g. SRKs QCFs). Pretty slick. Although I am pretty sure I do QCFs for Sub zero’s ice blast anyway hah
i kind of wish they never included an option to disable stage interactions. you know they’re just gonna be turned off during tournaments; that’s no fun. i wanna see what tournament players do with interactables.

right on.
I think on a fundamental level people are going to initially cry foul whenever they get hit with an inescapable setup rather than take it as “I shouldn’t have let myself get put into this position where I am susceptible to a damaging stage hazard.”
people should get ready to memorize all parts of the stages available and know how their character’s attacks/combos will change their positioning. positioning is going to be so key in this game.
On a side note, has anyone tried doing MB 4+H or MB 6+H through stage interactions? if it eats the hit, you’d be able to dash cancel and punish the opponent for a guaranteed combo since the recovery time on using them is so big.
That’s what the MBDC’s are there for. NRS version of FADC’s.
Can’t wait to give this a try. Hope the netcode isn’t ass

right, I’m just curious if you can get the armor to appear on them on frame 1. which would be necessary to avoid some setups.

We’re ALL hoping and praying…
MBDC’s through interactables would be great. sounds like a good use of the 2 bars. very interesting.
that reminds me, i saw harley and raven use this reverse-kick type thing in their combos, and it puts the opponent on the opposite side of the stage that they were on. so if you get your opponent in a combo and want to avoid them getting close to an interactable, you could just use that! i haven’t seen any of the male characters use it, though. i’m guessing it’s a generic female move.
Actually just one bar. It’s only 2 bars if you use a MBDC to cancel a string.

I’m pretty sure Ares and Aquaman also have strings/moves that switch sides with the opponent as well.
does anyone know when the character specific threads will be made? i just found a website that has all the character data: normals, strings, special moves, and trait descriptions. now i really want to babble about raven =X
Probably around the game’s release. Maybe a day or two before. Feel free to ask Wiz about it though.
I didn’t even know this is getting its own section
Speaking of netcode, did the devs ever improve on the mk9 netcode? It was pretty bad at launch and I heard they worked on it. Was curious if it bodes well for this game
