It depends on how big the space is and if anyone could bring tvs. I’d hope we could get 3-4 setups going.

I think the best way to settle that is to give the people who bring setups first dibs on what games get played on them. That gives people the incentive to bring their equipment. I’d expect the standard fare: SSF4, MvC3 and MK9.
Thanks for the interest guys, I’m gonna contact Arsenal back tonight and try to set things up for Mondays starting on the 16th. I’d start next week but I’m not going to be free next Monday and I’d like to be there for the first event as the point of contact between us and the management. Plus this gives them a little bit more time to spread the word. Hopefully we see a good turnout.
Also, I am definitely down for playing GG. Rob and I were trying to learn it awhile back but it would be nice to have someone to take us under their wing. I play a pretty bad Venom.

If someone brings a non-HD TV then I’ll bring the PS2 and GG. I’m dying for some matches.
SRK and dustloop died after SF4/BlazBlue came out. Even the actual gameplay discussion threads are not what they used to be, unfortunately.
I am always down for playing/teaching GG. Just give me a time and place whenever something is decided, I can provide my hd monitor and an xbox or ps3 as usual, and a 13 inch sdtv and ps2 if that’s our only choice for non-hdtvs. It’s a bit small but tournaments have been run smoothly on it so it works.

I can bring my setup complete w/ PS3 (Blaz, T6, MK, SSFIV, Mahvel 2 & 3…and the bastard KOF XII) I am also set to capture/record and commentate matches.
Speaking of which…I will be uploading the first round of Money Matches / Casuals I captured at PowerUp 2011 ! Keep an eye out for my YouTube Pageand IPlaywinner.com. I talked to the man himself Haunts at the tourney and he said that they would post the matches on Front Page once they are up!

When is the next Tilt tournament for MK9? Ill be there for it.
Even being in Fountain Square is better than being downtown. Obviously having a family and a professional life takes a lot of time, but going downtown was always a bit of a pain and timing was always inconvenient. I might be able to make one of these Friday deals. I mean at the very least I can always go eat at Santorini’s if nothing else… that makes the trip an automatic win.

Online registration is mandatory, and only emergency registrations will be taken on site (Thursday May 26th from 6pm to 10pm, and Friday May 27th from 9am to 11am). Emergency registrants will not been seeded by region, and will simply be placed into a bye in the bracket. If no byes remain, you will not be able to enter that game.

kk now that i have made intro. i would like to ask about tilt. some friends and i were thinking about going up there this tuesday given i dont have to work ,and just wanted to know what all tilt has, when is the best time to go, and just in general bout the place wat do?
Tuesday is the best day, more people seem to be there in the evening, after 5 or so. It’s kind of random how many people will be there though
Friday is the other semi-popular day but it doesn’t get nearly as many people as Tuesday

Sorry I’ve been quiet these past few days, it’s been busy. I heard back from Arsenal yesterday, and we are okay to have our weekly gatherings there, starting on May 16th. and continuing every Monday. We will need to make other arrangements for the 30th though, as a group has the room reserved for a party.
I do want to mention that since Arsenal is supporting our community, it is important that we support them, and give them a reason to let us use the space. Make a retail purchase from them if you play traditional games or get your dinner there. It’s still cheaper than going downtown, and the cafe there has a pretty good menu; personally I recommend the pulled pork. The owner doesn’t want to charge us a room fee, and as long as we are good to them, they’ll be good to us.
As far as structure goes, it will be BYOC (bring your own controller). Players who can provide setups will have first dibs on what games are played on their system. We may have to play with the format a bit, but expect it to be pretty casual. We may eventually go into small weekly tournaments if interest is there, we can discuss where to take this on the 16th. And be sure you label your stuff, I don’t want any confusion there.
I’m about to post on their forums and let people there know what’s going on. I can’t think of what to name the event. Monday Kombat? Test Your Might Mondays? I’ve got Mortal Kombat on the mind… any better ideas?
Hopefully I’ll see a lot of you guys there on the 16th, come out and support the scene. I’m gonna be picking up a monitor so I can provide an additional setup. Z.A.P, your monitor is an ASUS VH236H right?
Yeah Zamza, I’ve got the “Evo 09” Monitor…so we are all good there. I just wanted to know some details about the gathering…What time will we be meeting on Mondays? I’m free starting at 5pm. Also what’s the standard as far as systems go? I know that the vast majority of NapTown players have 360’s…I have a 360 as well as a PS3. The only thing is that all of my Fighting games are on PS3. I have Marvel on both systems
I also have a dual modded stick, so no worries. I would like the standard on PS3, but you guys make the call.

Thats what I thought it was, I should be ordering myself one on monday, so hopefully it will be in before the 16th. I hadn’t thought about the consoles, since I assumed either would be fine at a gathering. If we do decide that we need a standard, I’d prefer PS3.
