Anyway I just got back home from the Monday Night Kombat MK9 Tournament at Tilt and let me say despite it being a real small event, it was still hella hype ! I think it was a 12 to 15 man bracket and of course a demo character, or should I say THE demo character Scorpion won they hole thing…
More people should have came out to this event. I understand that we all love Capcom, but we need to try to embrace all fighting games. So far MK is the truth, I really enjoyed my self tonight and I’m looking forward to more MK Hype in the future.
I’m in the middle of rendering my first of many matches that I captured this evening. There were only three main stations at this event, Two solo stations and one projected on the Big Ass Screen…all of the matches that I had the pleasure of capturing are from the Losers bracket…I managed to capture some of the matches from the big screen, including the Grand Finals on my IPhone.
Be on the look out for the matches I captured on my YouTube page, once again these matches were captured in 720p HD and the commentary was brought to you by me…sry I was kinda too hype and hogged the mic the whole time. Oh also from what I can tell the audio on MK is really low, I’ll have to boost the audio on the mixer next time. Lesson learned

I really didn’t get a chance to get any real games in last night…I was too busy setting up and running my capture station so I can bring you guys some matches ! But I did manage to get in one game w/ Liu Kang against Rob’s Sheeva…of course I didn’t record it ( Doh ! ) but I pulled though against rob.
They changed Kangs move set…it’s hella weird pulling off all his moves w/ Back - Forward instead of Forward, Forward. I love this game ! I just woke up and I have a few more matches to render…then I have to upload to YouTube. Finally later on today I’ll run up to my local gamestop and pick up my copy !
BTW see you all at Tilt tonight…It’s Ten Buck Tuesday ! Once again I’ll have my capture station w/ me. I should be up there around 5pm - 6pm
Hey guys. UFGT7, Chicago’s Evo Tournament Season qualifier, is only a month and a half away. You only have two weeks left to register at the normal rate, and orders for T-shirts and Stick-Bags will also cut off when we move to Late registration pricing. Pre-registration is mandatory this year. If you choose to register at the door, you will be paying the Emergency Registration fee. Registering this way means that you must be in line by 11am on Friday the 27th or you cannot be entered into any of the bye slots in the pools, as well, and you cannot be regionally seeded as the brackets will already be made.
The event is a full 3-day tournament being held Memorial Day Weekend (May 27th - 29th). Hotel rooms are the same low rate of $69/Night as last year. We’ve more than doubled our ballroom space and will be running 32-man-or-less pools for every game on the roster. We want to make sure your time is well managed and that you don’t spend time waiting around. Our increased space allows us to have ample room for BYOC, and for other special guests and activities.

As for T3 it starts at 6pm and I’m sure that it will run until 11pm - 12am if not later.
yupyup T3 will prolly run til about midnite… and then of course we’re either gonna go back and party at my house or hit steak and shake so it’ll proll officially be over… around the time easter starts… hehehheh

Just buy a converter or dual mod your stick…to be honest I wish that we could just pick a system already. We should be running w/ the Evo Standard, PS3. But you kids love your XBOX, so I guess that’s what we are going to roll w/…by and large it is the most popular system.
oh yes… i was worried that Renegade wasn’t gonna get word… excellent… man i want you to know that by process of acension you’re the best SSF4 player in Indy since Clutch… but of course that has alot of stipulations to it’s claim so don’t get a big head… if you can win T3 then i guess it’ll be official
Adrian we could definitely use the 360 man… and this just in!!: Ft. Wayne is making it down this time… no freak ice storms to stop them so i need all the naptowners bringing their A-game… now you newcomers are gonna have to be cannon fodder and for that i’m sorry (nice to meet you)… then we’ll need the vetrans to wear IBMW down, then sadly you will be sacrifice aswell… then lastly the headliners go in for the kill… aaaaaaaaand BREAK!
oh… and i think MK9 is an alright game… the story is great… and the test your luck kombat mode is ridiculously fun as all hell… but the game is broken… like i seriously found a game breaking glitch with Cyrax and smoke the other day… so it’s not competitive but bottom line… fun
