@Mario: You’re not the only one having “fun” getting that loop down pat. I get butter gun when I go for the dive kick a lot of the time. I’m going to keep working on it, because Doom is worth the effort (and there are no good Dooms out there wrecking shop).
That updated Doom loop looks legit. Thanks for the tip Kyle. I’m going to get that down. I think people are sleeping on C. Viper. She’s got a ton of mixup potential. Gustaff Fire looks so good I’m willing to learn a character I don’t really like just to use it >_>
I was getting the gun a lot too because I had the tendency to hit df. hard attack instead of just forward h. attack. I can only get one repetition. Can you do the Magneto loops?

I also ordered a splitter that I needed for video capture so I might be posting some Tron/Hulk/Doom stuff later this week. Turns out mindlessly grinding in training mode to pass the time the last few days wasn’t quite so mindless after all
this is extremely true. I was very surprised when I watched Clockwork play Doom and he was using crappier combos than the ones I was using like a day or two after release.
Kyle, win the next Marvel ranbat at Arcade Legacy because I’ve got a long way to go. I’m still using Hsien KO, Haggar, and Dorm.
I’m throwing this out there. If anyone wants to learn 3s I will show you the ropes. Justin doesn’t play often so that’s just me and Indy playing mostly. There is a reason why there is an arcade dedicated to 3s on the westcoast. I don’t see why people can’t get hype here if they enjoy the game. I just lost to a guy who picked up the game 2 years ago at the last ranbat. If people want to get good they can but the learning curve is steep and it takes a solid year to be just ok at the game.

I haven’t even attempted to learn Neo Magnus yet (crazy I know) I can do some rudimentary flight and dash loops, but none of his more in depth nonsense.
I’m looking at the unplayed characters at the moment. (C. Viper mainly…shhh…) She Hulk is murdering people. So funny. She looks great. I want to make a team that destroys you once cornered. The fun part will be getting them there.
Tron Bonne looks like fun once she hits you.

Want to let everyone know that PowerUp 2011 pre-registration is now mandatory. If you don’t pre-register you won’t be allowed to play in official PU2011 tournaments. We’re doing this so brackets can be made and posted pre-event, making things run smoother for everyone. Hope to see you all there!

I’m back…I just posted my play through of the Mortal Kombat 9 PS3 Demo feat. Scorpion ! I’ve really had a blast w/ the demo so far, I think that this game has some potential but I don’t know how it’s going to stand up in tourney play…a walking jab infinite has already been found w/ cage, so if they let that get in the demo god only knows what kind of broken shit we are going to find once the game drops next month.
But overall I think that the graphics and gameplay are great and MK should be a fine addition to the fighting game scene…I plan to pick this up when it drops.

Tested out my capture card for some Tron combos. As expected it sucks a lot but that’s about what I expected from an 8 year old capture device that was a cheap piece of crap even when it was brand new. I certainly won’t be making any fancy videos with it but it works well enough to just upload some combos.
Hopefully I can tweak things to get it to run a little better but it was free so i can’t really complain.
I dropped by Tilt earlier today, saw some changes.
MvC3 UTE cab, though, I noticed P2- X and P1- LB buttons were non-functioning.
Super is back on it’s old cab.

What up NapTown? For the last few hours I have been experimenting w/ my HD PVR and Broadcasting to Justin TV…and I think that I’m finally on to something. If you didn’t already know I’m trying to break my way into the streaming community but w/ my current hardware and software I can only come up w/ a subpar broadcast.
Needless to say the NTC stream was a utter failure, but that fact has lit a fire under my ass. I’m planing on getting a dedicated streaming laptop this fall (maybe by August) with all the trimmings. But until then I’ll have to run my broadcast on my current hardware / software…
I just got done wrapping up my test stream. Could you guys take a look at it and tell me what you think? I recorded myself playing various games including the Mortal Kombat PS3 demo, Marvel 3, MK2, and even Tekken 2. If the feed back is positive on the quality of the stream I would like to discuss the possibility of including the NapTown fighting game community w/ my broadcast. Thanks a lot !
