Sorry for the short notice guys, but I’m helping to organize a small retro game party at Tilt for 12 pm on the 29th. We’re going to have some setups in the theater room with old school games from the 16 bit era and before. I’ll be bringing a SNES with UMK3 and SF2 Turbo, as well as NBA Jam TE. Also, I’m hoping to run a small NBA Jam team tournament for that day, to start at 2pm. If I get at least 8 teams, I’m going to put up a small prize for the winners. Entry will be free, as well. Message me or talk to me at Tilt if you want to preregister, or just sign up on the 29th. Invite is open, so bring friends. Finally, let me know if you can bring any old consoles or monitors, it would definitely be appreciated.
Finally, if theres gonna be HDR casuals at T3, I’m probably going to have to pass on the main tournaments. I’ve been waiting for a chance to find out how bad I actually am at that game, seeing as I get no chance to practice anymore.

Other info:Well, um, hello guys. My name is Lionel , and i am interested in playing fighting games competitively. I didn’t realize i wanted to do this until i finally graduated. My friends would talk about how they wanted to play competitively, but i figured it to be something they would tire of.
Not too long after watching my friends play on such impressive levels of gameplay i couldn't possibly comprehend, i wanted in. I would love to express my love for fighters with others who share my common taste. Now i'll admit this, i suck. im average atm in all of these games, but i wanna level up. I have a bad habit of always ending up with low tier characters, but i don't care about that. I use a pad for the moment, but i am planning to buy a TE stick eventually. Just come to T3 on Feb. 5th and you’ll see much of the scene there. Tilt is the arcade in Circle Center mall downtown. Never heard of Sungate but it sounds cooler than Greenwood.

Tilt is the only public place we play at, everything else is at someone’s house. If you’re looking to play Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Melty Blood, Arcana Heart, etc., that’s my department, and I am always willing to teach whatever I might know.

Ahh ok then. I would love to play any of those games. I never played melty blood or arcana heart, but i’d love to try them. Out of the ones you mentioned, Blazblue is the one i’ve had more time to play. I’d gladly like to hang out, and learn from people who have more knowledge of the games then me.

Other info: I’ve been to two of the Naptown Clash tournaments hosted in GameWorks (Tilt) although I was a scrubby Jin the two times I did go lol. I decided to play fighting games at at least a mid level since the release of BB:CT. I’m a fan of the good ol’ air dashers, I would get into MB and GG if it wasn’t for the fact that my BC PS3 died and I’m a little low on cash at the moment to go about and buy a PS2 with said games.
So, would anyone care to elaborate as to what this T3 is? A tournament event or just a gathering? Either way, I’ll swing by to play some BB:CS.
It’s a tournament at Tilt for Super SF4 and maybe 3rd strike. I think those are the only games that are being run this time but I’m not 100% sure, there might be marvel or something. I’m sure Greg or somebody will reply soon with all the details.
Anyway, regardless of what is being run I can easily bring a setup for BBCS and we can play casuals. I also have Arcana Heart 3 if you (or anyone) is interested in trying it.
