Indianapolis, IN: We do play games, I promise

For future tourneys you could try and have them on Saturdays because doing it on $10 Tuesdays and having everyone buy a 10 dollar card is more expensive than getting a regular and card and just putting $30 bucks on it. $1 equals 7 minutes which should be long enough to get almost 2 matches in as opposed to buying a dozen cards for $100. Just pool the venue fee together and spend less than half that.

GGS to everyone i played over marcus’s house i hope there will be another time and hopefully some MVC2

marcus’s was cool today is was cool meeting everybody and getting smashed by Kyle in GG… i wish i coulda stayed longer

  • i’d gladly move the start time to around 6-7 if that would get more ppl there… as long as it’s still an free time frame with everyone that’s good by me… Silver Rain, Mario, Marcus, everybody lemme know if you would prefer it be later and i’ll change it no prob

and we’re not all paying $10 for a card, we get all 3 machines free all day while we play we just pay $5 ea. for the venue and $5 ea. towards the pot

GGs too everybody that came out last night! I Will be doing some more before I start gettin busy.

Sounds good, I’ll probably be there.

GGs yesterday, it was nice playing some games that weren’t SSF4.

It was especially nice to finally try out Valkenhayn against actual people without online lag. I still need a lot of work.

hey is there possible team battle that can go on ? or we gotta sk vick?

So whats up with the Tilt in Circle Center? I was there today and it seemed like they were trying to sell like every machine there. Are they about to go under?

What!? Sell their machines!? Explain please.

It’s crazy, every single arcade cab is FOR SALE! And no, they are not going under. According to the employees that work at Tilt they are selling all their cabs b/c they need $$$ to buy new games! The best deal is the 3rd Strike Cab, I would buy it but I already have 3S (GGPO) and I have no place to put that HUGE cab…now if it was a Astro City Cab for the same price…

Anyway check out my Flickr page for pics of all the fighting games and their asking price (Top Left of the machines) I will also be posting several pictures from Seasons Beatings next weekend!

Hope this info is useful…if you have the loot and the space cop a arcade cab!

Last time I was there (last August I think it was, one of the last Naptown Clash tourneys) they had a dedicated Tekken 6 machine in an actual Namco Noir cab, which was awesome. This time they had three cabs that appeared to be Noir knockoffs (still cool though) running 360s in them instead. Why did they lose the T6 machine?

Anyway, I was hoping I’d run into some srk guys today but it was kind of an impromptu trip. It was pretty crowded there today though.

If it gets bumped to 5:30 or after, myself and at least one friend are there for sure. And I can definitely bring a copy if it’s needed.

I’ve been afk for a couple of days and dang I missed one of your guys get together* I’ll be there on tuesday regardless of using stick over controller.

I didn’t even notice the T6 cab was gone. If SSF4 is running on several cabs it will take less than an hour for the tourney to run. 6:30 or 7 would make it possible for most people to show up. Either way I should be there. Why not do a dollar tourney on the 3s machine as well?

SSF4 was only running on one cab when I was there, but if they have 360s in all those machines then you’d just need a couple copies of the game, assuming the arcade would let you open the cabs up and replace the games.

I don’t know if I would mess with playing 3S on that cab they have there. The screen is really big and looks good, but man those Happ sticks are terrible. I usually don’t even mind American parts but these things made the game almost unplayable for me, even against the computer. The sticks on the Marvel machine seemed a lot better but I don’t play Marvel anyway.

I wanted to ask you guys though, if I was wanting to get back into SF4 and start coming to the local Indy tourneys, would I be better off practicing on the PS3 or the 360? I know the PS3 version has the 2 frames of lag in it, but it also seems to be the tournament standard. Or is it pretty easy to go between versions? I have access to both systems.

I find it pretty easy to go between them but you are probably better off practicing the ps3 version since it is the tournament standard. Indianapolis used to favor xbox at gatherings but lately all I’ve seen are ps3s and people with ps3 controllers

The differences between the ps3 and 360 are minimal. I’ve got ggpo now if anyone wants to play 3s.

Nap, those sticks on the 3s cab are bad. I don’t know what I was thinking saying that we should run a tourney on it.

6:30 it is, i figure we’ll end up with a half hour grace period like most tournies … i still need a volunteer to bring 1 more copy of super on 360… looks like we’ll have atleast 10 players not a bad kickoff in my book if anyone needs some info or to let me know when they’re gonna get there my number is 317-281-3045

Tilt isn’t going outta business… they used to have a yearly cab sale even when it was gameworks… the prices are alright… I’d buy Carnevil for $215 if the rightside gun worked

How much is 3s? I’d consider buying the board alone if the price was right.
