What up Indy Been a while, how has the scene been in there? I have been doing my best to level up as much as possible out here in california, been getting some casual matches with Mike Ross at our local tourneys here in San Diego, and I have changed my style a bit of how I play honda.
So if any of you guys are interested, here is a match I recorded with my friend, in a first to 10 match. I had no idea how to fight against abel, so I figured this was the best way to learn. Although my camera died at the last round but I did win this set, 10-4
It takes me a few games to figure out the match though⦠so my moment really shines through video 2 - 4
Basically, you want to use the threat of your hairpin and push the other person in the corner and mix them up all day until they die. The easiest way to do that is to get a knockdown (sweep is a good choice) and summon one of the delayed rings so that the opponent is forced to block on wakeup and eat a high/low mixup.
I donāt know that much about Millia but I can tell you from experience that she has one of the hardest learning curves in the game.
Also, there is a general game mechanics guide here: Guilty Gear XX
So are those two USB ports in the SSFIV machine still broken down at Gameworks? Now that I have my TE S stick working again, Iām wanting to use it more and get away from my Fightpad (and Iām more accustomed to the octagonal restrictor plate that Iāve installed in my TE S, rather than the square gate that those machines use).
I live in Whiteland but I would come up to Indianapolis to play with some good competition. Been playin small local games but looking to get better and play better people. And by the way theres a small SSFIV tournament at Greenwood Park Mall in the game store beside the Food Court twice a month if anyones interested in playin some scrubs. Next one is Friday the 27th I think. Think they play Tekken 6 tourneys twice a month also but I aināt into that garbage.
Pretty sure its bring your own stick. This will be my first time playing. The guy there gave me a schedule of their tournaments. But if anyone needs a stick Iāve got a TE and my two cousins are playing who also both have TEs and we have no problem sharing when we arenāt up for a match. And its $5 dollar buy-in. He said winner takes half the total pot in credit at the store. Its basically a Gamestop with a little bit lighter of a selection but the plus is that they have games for all other systems ever made, have a lot of accessories even for old systems and the prices are slightly cheaper.
Hey, this is way off in the future also, but the night of MvC3ās release, we all need to find a spot and have either a casual play get together so we can all just break the game in, or like, a single elim tournament for fun.
Since most of us are going to be playing it online at the night of release anyways, might as well have some fun with it. Order some pizzaās, get some monitors, bring our sticks, beers/vodka and have a good time. I dunno, just seems like a lot more fun to break in the game with people that would appreciate it more and bring out that arcade-ish scene rather than just sit at home and play online by yourself lol. Of course, if we call it a release tournament Iām sure we could draw in plenty of players, and since no one will have had any hands on time with the game, the level of competition should be the same for all of us.
I donāt mind contributing a couple hundred bux to make a prize pot.
As far as competition goes, donāt bet on it. Vs game players will be crushing skulls on launch day :badboy: (especially if youāre already used to the layout) The setup is just like TvC, only easier if you can believe it. hahaha
i know the place youāre talking about⦠they once had a dude dressed up outside as bowser⦠we gave him a hard time⦠i didnāt know they had tournies there⦠iāll check out the next one for sureā¦
yupyup⦠saturdays and tuesdays are the high traffic days for the fighter fiends man

I am extending an invitation to anyone who wants to come to my house on Sunday for some games. I have an Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, several TVs, and a large basement area to set up in, although I have no fighting games for the PS3. I have a 360 stick and a ps2 stick with a ps3 converter. Thereās another stick that can connect to 360 and PS2 but it might not be functioning, so itās probably best to bring your own controller or arcade stick.
We also have a swimming pool if you would like to use it and some burgers and hot dogs we can grill. Feel free to come by anytime after 2:00
There have been some new people recently so even if I havenāt met you yet feel free to come. My address is
7261 Fox Hollow Lane
Brownsburg, IN 46112
I live right by the eagle creek golf course which is right next to the state park
Was going to come but after Mapquesting your address its about an hours drive so no dice. Appreciate the invite tho. For anyone closer to South Indy I have Street Fighter Night at my house in Whiteland a couple times a month, usually on Fridays from like 7-11. Have 4 sticks, 2 HDTVS, SSFIV, SF 3S and HDR tourneys. I also have MvC2 if anyone wants a couple matches in that. But so far we donāt have many people who are great players. Probably like 3 counting myself and Iām not that great. But its a lot of fun, especially for people who have never played since I charge no entrance fees for any tournaments and we have like 6 different ones every time. PM me for address and more info if interested.
