I wasn’t going to cast a vote since I’m not from Indy and not a Gameworks/Tilt regular at the mall but since the ST/HDR debate is the current topic I just wanted to pop in and cast a vote for ST. HDR is nice overall but I’ll take real ST any day.
Bison’s LK shinanegans are better in ST, so I vote ST.

yeah … ST has a lot of BS (which is why I still love HF far more) but HDR just feels really weird going between both games. One thing that’s great about ST is the timing/input delay feels more true to what it should be, and HDR is pretty different for whatever reason. I dunno if it’s because of USB or what, but the reversal timing was so different, playing both games. I have to do reversals way earlier in HDR. So to me the HDR changes aren’t in general a big deal, but the controls/gameplay are much better in ST IMO, despite the DP window being random and stricter inputs and stuff.
It feels like Bison’s close s.lk is way faster in ST than hdr. But there is plenty of bull shit in both games. Hyper fighting? That shit be all about the basics and fundamentals. No one said ? if you make one mistake in this game, you should lose.? during the development process.
Well to be fair there are ToD combos in HF. If Ryu throws a FB to open the round and Ken jumps over it, Ryu just lost. But minimal BS in that game, all fundamentals. I hope to get it some action at SB but most OG players prefer ST with all its shenanigans.

Ya but the frame skipping in that game makes them really impractical and inconsistant.
And I know what you mean silver, but you gotta have HELLA mind games with cammy in sf 2.
Maybe that’s why I love Cammy so much in SF2 and I can’t play her for crap in SF4… I tried… I REALLY tried… it was a total disaster… but in fairness I’m terrible at SF4 in general and it doesn’t seem to matter what I do, I just don’t get any better at it… I’ll probably be giving it up for good here soon and going back to HDR full time.

Vic- If you see this the 3s machine’s 2p stick gets stuck in the backdown position. I pushed the stick down and it cycled through the characters on its own.
