Thanks guys, I’m not gonna be able to make it out tonight do to family plans but this is the vid I’m going to use as a template for my practice when I get my system back but and when I play. I know that most won’t be practical in certain situations but it might be good to know just in case the opportunity comes up. It’s really good, shoowed me a lot about what baiken can do with keeping pressure. It has a lot of FRC’S that the blue ones right? Her ground combos are what threw me with the questions with how that last hit is kinda like a launcher for air combos, and I think that the guy is frc’s out of the last part of the air combo to float back to cause more damage. I didn’t realize that you could do those windmill slashes(forgot what the moves called) that way to combo someone.

Kyle, just saw some faustings matches. Elvenshadow first round? Ouch. I almost went to that, but I was only in Chicago for a couple days and was kind of hanging with some friends and knew that if I went to a tournament, that would pretty much be a whole day down the drain. I’m going to try to make it to Captown Crunch and I hope that GG goes well there and at PowerUp.

Sir, that’s not DIGNITY right THERE, Who plays 3rd strike still? last I checked 3OE is dead, and no one wants to play any old fighting games anymore. Dignity keeps up with what’s new not digging up what’s left in the past. Only works in Reel Steel that’s if you’ve seen the movie.

It was second round but yeah, I was amused when I heard they were going to stream that match. I was having some stick issues but I doubt it would have gone much better even without that, it’s a hard matchup and I have very little experience with it. The only thing I had going for me was that I used to play Faust so i at least know what he can do 
First round I played a Potemkin player who was not bad but he couldn’t handle the Dizzy matchup and I won fairly easily. Second was Elvenshadow, and then I played a Jam player who was so bad I literally thought he was still button checking after the match had started. My last match was against an Axl and it came down to the very last round, but 2H failed me at a critical time as usual and I lost.
All in all I played a lot of casuals and it was a good time, although I question how things would have gone if Ephraim and I hadn’t been there to provide our setups.
Oh yeah? Sounds like you’re saying there weren’t too many setups. You should try to get a long set with chase magic next time you see him. His faust is strong. Maybe we can get him out to naptown.
There were a couple other setups but for an event that intended to include a big GG tournament they were pretty scarce.

Few comments from watching the vid, and glad you are aware that much of it isnt practical.
First off, it is a combo vid, so it doesnt necessarily display to a full effect the way a player in a real match has to be quick on their reactions. This is the biggest drawback I have with watching combo vids personally.

While the combos display ability and the cycle of normal/special cancels, it totally throws out the window damage scaling. You shouldnt worry about being able to pull off or master the combos in this vid as much as pulling off the best damage combos that Baiken can do. Unfort I dont know her best dmg combos so you will have to go to Dustloop for that, or try them in training mode yourself.
There are some good things to highlight from the vid tho

The property here is her j.5K (jump 5K, I believe this is the normal) that happens against Sol in the vid. Im not sure if it is safe or typically used, but important to note how her normals wont always have just the property of being a “hit”, as in this case it is a “hit and float/lift enemy”: (**edit, cant get time stamps to embed) 2min0sec mark

Last time I checked riot guard played both new and old games. Anyway, both of you are excellent players in AE. One of you is god like in third strike. Let that be that.

Look at what daigo plays at big tournaments and still practices til this day. Those are the games you should be practicing, lol.
If your trying to go competitive with a game, your better off choosing the most populars. If you go with the least popular games then you’ll be wasting time and money on it. I SAID IF YOUR GOING “COMPETITIVE” for the people that can’t read, but FUN games you can still go ahead and try but if you think your gonna just be like “i’mma take this game serious” then you’ve already screwed yourself UNLESS it’s popular. That’s how i’ll think about it.
