Hi. We mostly play at Arsenal Game Room on Mondays and Fridays. You may have already seen the details about this venue on page 1 of this thread.
We will be there tomorrow if you can make it. I have been lazy and stopped updating the first post like I should, but we are there every Monday and Friday unless there are special circumstances that prevent it, in which case I or someone else will post accordingly.

On another note, has anyone played Guardian Heroes before (originally for Sega Saturn?)
I had no idea it was this good. Different characters, movesets, HP and MP, leveling up, Final Fight meets Guilty Gear style combat and you can switch between 3 different planes to fight on (it’s 2D) kinda like Isuka.
The Tank character in this game can double jump and double air dash, and you can jump cancel your normals for launcher combos. Vs style engine in a beat em up. Needless to say, I love this game. It even has a multiplayer online coop, and a Vs mode. Air recovery (GG, BB) Bursts, just about every modern fighting game convention made it in. It’s weird, seeing as how this is an older game.
It actually has legit combos in it (you can test them to see if they are escapable in Training Mode)
In short, I can’t believe how great this game is, and I don’t know how I missed it back in the day. It’s incredible.
Edit: I forgot to mention that it has a Story Mode with branching paths, and different endings. The difficulty can be scaled to ridiculous levels if you desire.

Renegade told me about this, and he’s one of my best friends, so I’ll try to make it out to this, sometime this week. Friday might be more ideal than today, since I’ve got other plans. I’m willing to learn any game that piques my interests and keeps it there.
I’d say learn Guilty Gear then, but Renegade probably shat all over it when talking to you. You’re welcome to head down to Arsenal, I’m sure someone there can show you the ropes. I’d help out but I can’t make it tonight. Last day of midterms.
And just stating for public record, I never wanted nor tried to get Renegade or his accounts banned. I just wanted him to respect other games that he doesn’t play and represent his skill, which he did at T3. I’d love to play some matches with him in good humor, stirring the shitpot needs to be for our neighbors to show them Naptown is a scene worth taking seriously.

That whole thing was just a matter of him overdoing it and getting himself banned. He likes to troll on here just to stir up activity in the thread, but he broke forum rules about trolling and threatening people (even if it was in jest) and a mod saw it and he got banned, then made new accounts basically announcing that it was him just under a new account right in front of the mod’s face and got IP banned. Regional matchmaking may have loose restrictions on offtopic posting and other shenanigans, but it still has mods and you have to exercise a little bit of common sense. Nobody is mad about a bit of silly fake internet drama and he’s the only one who has to deal with the consequences anyway, so whatever

Since I spend so much damn time on the computer anyway, I might as well do something useful. If anyone needs a character guide for GG, toss me a PM and a character and a throw together some basic combos and notes about them, like Ky’s 6P is amazing, or that j.h makes for amazing throw setups.

Actually I did, but the video seems messed up, where it pauses every so often (or on my computer it does at least) as the time keeps counting, so I never did watch the whole thing.
Try using a different program. I had the same problem in VLC but it ran fine in Media Player Classic
