That’s a tough road to hoe. I don’t know that the economics are viable for what EVO is trying to accomplish. Not to mention, in terms of Midwest tournaments that are likely to be in the tournament series you would think UFGT and PowerUp would be prime candidates and I don’t know how you get NC to get in front of the line in comparison. That’s not to say its impossible, but this community would have to step up its organizational game exponentially in terms of venue, pot, accessibility, etc.
Can it be done? Sure, can we talk about how we would make that happen? Absolutly, but let me be the voice of reason and say its really easy to say we want to do what it would take and then run away when we see how much work it would be.
We’ve been challenged to a 5v5 AE money match. Purdue vs Indy, same format as USA vs world, 20 dollars a person.
So far it’s me, Mario, and Andy. Stu can’t make it. Indy might. Need 2 decent AE players on the team. It’s next weekend. Tell renegade he can be on the team if he doesn’t troll his own team.
That’s a good idea and worth a shot. Naptown Clash has been around since 2008 and then Clutch ran by Greg took over. We’ve always had a good showing but I don’t think we’ve ever gotten more than 80 players. EVO will probably only consider majors with numbers 200 and above.
My concern would be whether the Tilt venue could handle all the players we would get if that happened. I know we don’t usually get more than 80-100 but if Evo seed points are on the line and sponsors are sending people all over the place we might go over our actual capacity
we have full use of the theatre room as well as the ‘Slytherin House’ section back where i think Crossroads of Fists was held… but even then i dont think we could handle an EVO qualifier… and besides i already have Osirun on board to use NTC2 as a PowerUp qualifier in turn… so i think we’re good on that front… and on that subject Frost Faustings got the jump on my date for NTC2 and since they got seniority i’m gonna push Clutch back to Febuary… which i guess makes some kinda sense since that’s when we did it this/last year
Neil was talking to me about a Indy vs Purdue MM at SB… i told him we couldnt do it then since we were booked solid on the MM station… and my picks for the Naptown vs. Purdue team would be (in this order excluding trolls) 1)Adrian 2)Timmy (if he’s not on the purdue team) and 3)Me … who’s all on the Purdue team? … i can get a hold of Renegade if you guys need him… and when you say next weekend … when exactly do you mean?

Too short notice so the 5v5 will be moved to a later time. I’m hoping the next T3 will have enough time to run this as an exhibition or something. As far as who is in it, I think Mario is no question, he won the T3 before last. Stu has been 2nd the last two times and is always consistent. Andy won the T3 before Mario did. I want in. Renegade won the last t3 so if he wants in and can resist trolling his own team I’m cool with that. I guess that makes me the weak link so if anyone thinks they would be better on the team than me, challenge me FT3. Or if renegade doesn’t get the memo
I won the T3 before the one that Andy won too. Egos aside let’s look at records. Cron should be on there because he got second at the one Andy won. Stu has placed top 3 twice. Andy has won one. Dom and Renegade won so they get slots. Stu isn’t gonna play in the mm so then we have a team.
Renegade probably won’t show as usual and I haven’t seen Dom at the last couple of T3’s. Greg can pick because it’s his event but if it’s not at T3 then I pick.
