the upcoming release of SSF4 actually makes me want to play SF4 more. it’s not like the system is going to drastically change and link combos are still going to be more important i think, so why not keep up with it?
I’m going to have to try to set some time aside to make some of these gatherings. I’ve been spending alot of time training up my 4 game to get ready for Super… I mean HDR will always be first for me, but with Makoto and Juri, I think I (finally) have two characters that will fit the flip sides of my personality that I’ll really enjoy playing in 4, I never did really find anyone in 4 originally so I’m excited…
What’s up with all this Dudley talk when the Mak is back?
it’s because at this point it seems like dudley has a lot better tools than most of the cast.
as much as i love dudley the character i refuse to hop on the hype train or contribute to the already huge dudley player base the midwest will have. i’m still not really sure who i’ll play, but i now have my ST favorite (deejay), alpha favorite (cody), and i enjoy all the 3S characters.
if the regular gatherings in muncie slow down because paul moved we can go back to hosting here. it turns out were just going to go with putting nothing in my living room so now that entire space can be used for multiple set ups. however if paul figures something out i don’t want to be stepping on his toes, because he’s been doing a better job bringing everyone together. whichever way it happens we should definitely hold any ranbats in muncie if possible to make it easier for the ft. wayne crowd.

I’ve been watching more Hokuto no Ken. It’s interesting how many of Raoh’s moves I’m recognizing from the game. It’s not just the story-related specials moves and supers either, I’ve even spotted some of his normals.
I rented Heavy Rain this week and it’s got some of the worst plot holes and logic gaps I’ve ever seen, especially for a story that was trying so hard to be serious. There are a few interesting/cool parts but it doesn’t make up for generally poor pacing and the horrible, horrible ending.
