No joke I just saw your videos the other day lol Are you going to upload matches?
I plan to, eventually… I get frustrated a lot with the online though. I probably just have to spend some more time with it. I’m mostly just working on combos and stuff for now since I always die a little inside when I lose to a downright terrible Wesker anchor.
But on the subject of my videos, I have an even newer video out but it doesn’t have as much RR as it does VJoe. I suppose I’ll post it here anyway though >_>’ (I’m being a whore, yes, I know)

I subscribe to you now so I saw this earlier, just wondering with that RR/Ammy slow on deadpool was that a superjump into DF Skates into a j.l then landing and linking a s.l to open it?
my team & horrible gameplay lol, hopefully i can get better play up soon,
tips, advice, critisism is appreciated.

When watching RR videos it’s always hard to see what’s going on and he has a tendency to die fast but I’ll write what I can see.
Disclaimer: yeah I’m a bit shit, etc and this is just constructive criticism based on my personal play-style since there isn’t a huge consensus on how RR plays at top level because no-one does it.
**Game 1: **
first blow-up was just a nasty sword crossup from right above you and that’s an area I feel RR is really vulnerable, not much
to say about that although I was thinking I’d make a post in the thread about that specific aspect/weakness of RR. The second blow up you got caught after placing a boulder trap. Not sure if you got caught during recovery or opened up there, but maybe next time don’t dash forward to place the boulder trap. You’d probably have still been in range but in the time you dash forward your opponent can close with you, call an assist and setup offense. I know it feels like you are giving ground but I dunno…if I compare it to my style of play I have a tendency to give ground while placing traps and let them advance into them, if I ever want to close and place a trap I do something like c.H > wild ripper xx boulder or claymore so at the very least they are blocking and have less opportunity to get up in my face.
At one point you call hawkeye and do a spitfire:
2 small things there worth thinking about and this is bearing in mind I know ammy can crouch under triple arrow. In that situation you could have done a jumping spit-fire (I’d do a :m :then a :l: personally) to increase the area your projectiles were covering on the screen. The other alternative is to place traps while the assist is covering you. Ammy was always trying to get in, so I imagine she could have got caught in a net trap if you had place one. You may even have enough time there to place a net then a claymore or net boulder if you felt you didn’t have time for other things.
This is obviously just one person’s opinion but whenever I have the opportunity to place a net trap I do it because it stops a lot of things (skrull tenderizer and hulk s.h) it’s a capture state so it’ll go through super armour.
Game 2:
Okay so you opened Dormammu up with a confusing teleport then into a bnb combo which you ended with a bear trap which caused a roll recovery since you’d already used your ground bounce. Whenever I do something like that it’ll be with an assist to cover me (I would hope I remember to call it anyway) but prior to the bear trap you had dorm in the corner with a hard knock-down. You could have dashed in, placed a boulder then reacted to whichever way they tech. Into the corner means they have to block a boulder and you could dash in and low to open them up with an unblockable and after placing a boulder you’re at a good range to pressure them if they roll out of the corner. I don’t know if you have the time to go for a bouldermore setup if you have to dash in and if not I’d settle for placing a trap to cover one aspect of their wakeup.
Next dorm combo you end with a ground bounce into boulder trap. It’s worth being aware that he could have simply rolled forwards and all of a sudden he has you cornered there. I imagine the options people here would recommend after a bear trap ground bounce would be an bear trap, oil bomb then relaunch and OTG with s.:h: to ignite or bear trap log trap relaunch into a hard knockdown.
Not much else I can see in game 2 besides that. Mad hopper for a little breathing room and a realisation that ammy seems like a pretty bad matchup for RR. Big hitboxes on her normals and it looked like she crouched right under that c.:h: you threw out at the end there.
Game 3:
First exchange you had ammy in hard knock-down and could have followed with bear trap, but I get how that was hard to react to there. Could have potentially placed a trap though.
Claymore XX RNR…was that an error of execution or something? that felt quite risky to me and surprised you didn’t get punished for it. Yeah I think ammy could have definitely punished you if they hadn’t cancelled their air dash.
Oh I see… those corner boulder traps are meant to be boulder loops. Okay ignore that thing I said earlier about it. Does boulder loop work when you get a happy birthday? I’d have thought it may not work properly.
Then you get thrown following an x-factor cancel, not much you could do about that.
I’m messing with the Coon again. Enjoy!

Ve this is what I was exactly looking for with hard tagging into Dante. I just want to say thank you very much for a lot of the time and research you do. Since I session with Chrisis all the time, he’s told me to refer to you for just tech in general…and I’m kind of regretting not asking sooner.
This character is extremely lethal and slept on. In a way I’m sort of glad that not many people play him in tournies, yet at the same time it’s freakin terrible trying to figure out something with no essentially no match footage.
Anyways, Ve, I’ll be contacting sometime in the near future because I want to discuss some tech with you and get your feedback. Thanks!
That’s a nifty trick. Thanks for sharing!
Japanese Combo Video with Racoon doing some TODs on Thor. Most of it high use of meter. The more imporant one is the usage of Spencer’s slant shot to do a unblockable setup to make a reset.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=0n7x1VCnsJg&feature=related
It might be possible to create an unblockable using Slant Shot midscreen. During a magic series, I tried calling Spencer, launch>TK’d ground Skates, and quickly cancel into Boulder Trap. Assist drags them back down and did cr.M, but I was unsuccessful because it wasn’t anywhere near tight enough to be an unblockable. I tried cr.LM but cr.L’s too stubby to reach them in time.
I’ve yet to try it out with midscreen reps of the Boulder Loop however.
More videos need to be set to songs like this.
All I can say is wow. Makes me want to hit the lab right now if I wasn’t so salty from getting blown out by Zeros and Spencers.
Interesting facts about Rocket Racoon’s hurtbox/hitbox.
- His Hurtbox is very, very small when he is blocking. It’s definitely smallest hurtbox from him.
- When Rocket is juggled in the air, his hurtbox increase increasly in size. It seems nearly every small character has very big hurtboxes when they are juggled.

So that’s why I always get DESTROYED on incoming while trying to air block. By the way, those VITA graphics look amazing.
Please excuse the double post. Here’s my RR/Hulk/Doom team in action. It’s the second match.

thanks and again sorry for my english XD
I don’t have any good feedback for you, but your Raccoon is awesome! It seems that Raccoon + Strider is the best idea since you get to do whatever you want. I might have to experiment with this. Plus using coldstar is really smart too because you get lockdowns. Great show man! I love the comeback around 16mins in.
i watched every min of that video good shit man
Someone saw Final Round right?
Of course xD Got repped like crazy! Now people won’t laugh when I pick RR against them. Actually, I liked it when they did when I would blow them up and they’re like “AH HAHAHA RR YOU CRAZ- WTH MAN!?”
