Street Fighter has ALWAYS been a game that caters to stereotypes. You have the gi-wearing karate guy who does nothing but train, the Japanese sumo wrestler, lazy American karate student, the bear-like Russian, etc. Most of the characters (in the SF2 games anyway) are stereotypes in some way.
As for Urien, he’s a man wearing a thong. That’s the ultimate test of your comfort with your sexuality. If you can spend years of your life playing a character who looks like a thong-wearing professional wrestler ready to fuck some ear holes and make people uncomfortable while doing it, you’re comfortable on a level most men will never know.
