Iām sure that this has been said before, but I think ranked matches should be 2/3 this time around.
Sets feel fast enough that it would make sense, and conditioning people feels pretty important in this game. Itās hard to really play a person in a max of 3 rounds.
Even without ragequits fixed, at least I could feel like Iām super outplaying a person before they quit on me
Guess Iāll post my thoughts on some improvements, more minor stuff, but still, Iāll give it a go.
Allow option to use character themes, or stage themes. Iām guessing this feature will come in the future, but I know I prefer the stage themes way more than the character ones.
In addition to #1, for players that are hell bent on playing only on Training Stage, give the option to select what song to play there, similar to how Killer Instinct did in the 90s. At that time, it didnāt matter what stage you chose, but if a player put in a code, they could listen to any stage song on any stage when playing Versus. Not saying it needs to be a code, but ONLY for when players choose Training Stage, should there be an option to choose the song to play, or select random, similar to choosing the stage can be random.
I still think some hurtboxes need tweaking. Still some inconsistent hits when trying to footsie them out.
This one isnāt a minor change, but something I just keep thinking about and itās just an idea. But I think when a character lands a Crush Counter (CC), it would be good for them to be able to cancel dash at that time, and only that time. Similar to FADC in SF4, a CCDC would work ONLY if you land a CC. This way, you can dash in to capitalize and maximize damage on it. Again, this is only for CCs, not a regular counter. People talking about how they want more combos in SFV, well, hereās an idea to allow at least one way to combo, but you earn it by a CC and then dash in if you land one.
By all that is holy, allow us to purchase colors in the shop. Survival Mode is the DEVIL, and I donāt think anyone likes it. If we must keep colors locked away unless we do Survival, then at least add a supplement to buy a save point (after every 10 matches I guess), or a number of continues.
To go along with #5, lower the number of matches in Survivalā¦again, no one really likes this mode. Itās a pride thing for people to accomplish, but still, no one likes it.
Guess thatās all I got for now. Nothing really major for changes, except for #4. Still, just some thoughts.
This is because you can earn Fight Money in those some offline modes. It would be stupid to allow people to earn Fight Money without a connection since folks will just figure out how to hack their saves and cheat the system.
If you need to do something offline without Fight Money, then disconnect the console when you start the game.
IMO, I prefer what we have no because it gives you more choice. Being able to use something as a command normal instead of a proximity normal is a godsend. Just think of how much better off Chun is when her b.HP is a command normal and not a close version of st.HP.
Option to change songs / disable songs / run on shuffle ect
Ability to watch cut scene / story scenes w/o battle.
Save settings when leaving training mode.
Ability to use keyboard as player 2 and a gamepad as player 1 (or vice versa).
Some sort of internal messaging system to allow you to send text messages to other players in the CFN, as well as a friends system.
Partial fight money granted even on a loss (zero for a disconnect). Like ~20FM on loss. Gives incentive to new players to keep playing even if they are struggling to get a win ratio of even 20% this means they can work towards content once theyāve run out of single player fight money.
Basic color editor with some limitations on colors allowed for specific body parts to prevent all black characters / ect. As well as nothing crazy like SFxT, no metal/neon stuff.
Training mode state save like USF4.
An actual tutorial mode, complete with tips for each character to teach you about their different v-skills/triggers and basic move tips.
Canāt you just change your character after ever match? Itās very easy to do and Iām not sure how itās different from picking before the match. I actually really like the way itās implemented because it means less total wait time. I can pick a new character while waiting for the next match and then play immediately, rather than waiting for a match and then also waiting for someone to pick.
Please do something about all this ragequitting trash Capcom. This is getting out of control. Are these the kinds of āplayersā you wanted to bring in with this game? People like this dont deserve to play at all imo.
Also on the main title screen the ui is kinda wonky. If your not connected u should just choose ranked and be auto connected not search for the login button to connect.
They need more stages like training room or just stages that donāt have a ton of animations happening to cause slowdown. Possible solution just bring back stages like a2 Australia stage. Very simple but super dynamic.
Iāmā¦Iām now in the opinion that we need voice chat; which shouldnāt be hard; use the same servers everyone has to connect to to play each other cross platform to support the voice chatting.
āWhy do you want to talk to some random stranger and hear them talk shit???ā
Cause itās a fighting game, talking shit is part of the game.
This only comes up after playing in lounge matches and having to screw with the premade bullshit texts that you have to dig through in order to communicate.
