Improvements or changes you would like to see in SFV

Wait what?! Didn’t it use to cost 1 v-gauge bar? If you now GAIN a v gauge…what does it cost instead, ex? Im so confused.

V reversals uses V gauge. Crush counters are different

It never cost any meter, they’re just usually unsafe.

Tweleve’s v-skill will be X.C.O.P.Y., that way, once a round he can become a better character… by not being Tweleve.

I don’t think so; crush counters tend to be safe moves or else you’d only see them as DP punishers. You had to space some like Nash’s f.hp but I think you can make every CCH move safe.

But yeah, Ken, despite the V Skill nerf, looks like a ton of fun. Probably just because I’m a massive sucker for tatsu juggling (Sakura in SF4, Crow in Yatagarasu, now Ken here).

It does seem like his V Skill is there for once you’ve fully taught your opponent to stop pressing buttons, especially if even canceling it into a DP can get you jabbed first.

That would be waste of potential. The only acceptable V-Trigger for Twelve is X.C.O.U.N.T.E.R.P.I.C.K. , changed properly with each balance update. Would be hella fun until you are playing against Yun, he becomes Akuma and then you claim “Seriously, Combofiend?” and he explains in a conference “B-b-but he has trouble getting in!”

Out of all 3S character twelve is the only one I can see not making it in; but if he does he’ll be running some serious gimmicks for v tigger and v skill, like one button gliding or some bullshit like that. He’s just such an odd character.

I definitely want Twelve. He was one of my side characters and basically a really gimped Darkstalkers character. If they gave him a bit more anime powers he would be legit. Plus he would look really good if they could make his shapeshifting and cloning work. He was cool because he was just a big push of the CPS3 board.

Funny you say that, as now that I think about he he really is a DS character. Eh, I dabbled with him because I thought his animations were sweet and that he was generally a cool fucking character, and I think they could go nuts with textures for him on unreal engine. His entire game revolved around IAD ambiguous HK and spacing with HP, it was seriously stressful to do that damn IAD motion all day long.

Maybe you’re right recently. In the first build they were definitely all crazy unsafe. Nash’s was -13 on block and -3 on hit. Yes, punishable on hit. People are saying it’s fixed now though.

I’m thinking twelve vskill would probably be air dash forward or backward holding towards or away and mp +mk in the air. V trigger I don’t know…

It just irks me that they go creative with some characters and limp with others. Birdie seems to not be as fleshed out still in how his activation and vtrigger goes.

Karin was creative how they spread her design out across the system even if it’s just an activation like others it doesn’t seem like it but more of a stance she’s able to do her rekka stuff from.

At this point, the core of the game is pretty much set on stone so this thread has officially changed from “what can be” to “what could have been”. Comedy is what’s left to do.

I have a dream that one day Twelve will not be judged by his gimped appearance in 3S, but by the content of his potential strength in SFV.

I want to see charged up special moves ala SFxT… it was such a great mechanic bogged down by the rest of the game. I want to see it stand on it’s own. I loved the charged canceled specials and mix ups that could lead from these moves. Just make tier 3 unblockable version of a ex or something.
