Improvements for next EVO

Did anyone that went to EVO actually play some table games at the casinos? Also, the next EVO should be at The Mirage or Luxor.

Why would you want them in those crappy hotels? 5 years ago I would’ve agreed with the Luxor what with their amazing arcade but since that closed down…
I’d much rather see it at the Bellagio.

SUBTITLES ON THE VIDEOS. It’s mood-killing watching a just beautifully filmed touching documentary that you can’t understand a word of when you’re in the hall. I’m looking at you Gootecks and Mike Ross. Excellent work, but I look forward to actually hearing that video at some later point. Same with almost anything: figure out some way to have visible subtitles or other captioning, because we never hear a word of what anyone is saying.

I’m dropping a like on this purely for the Mexicans part.

My EVO experience was, without a doubt, the best vacation I have ever taken. Can’t think of too many ways to improve upon it. Bigger monitors for the games might’ve been nice.

Then again, I suck, so don’t worry about my dumb ass requests. That said…

Not sure if this was mentioned. I know there was an issue originally with the archives where you had to pay to view them. That turned out to be a mistake, you were only supposed to pay to view it at 720p. It seems to have been resolved as I was able to watch some SF4AE pools that were archived. I didn’t get to watch as much of KOF as I wanted to, I really only got to watch the top 8. There are a couple of random EVO KOF matches outside of top 8 on youtube, but I’m having trouble finding a stream archive or something.
What I think might be a good idea is if there’s a stickied thread that organizes all the archives or matches recorded on twitch and youtube so that we have an easy way to find what we’re looking for. And if for some reason some things are missing, for example if KOF pools and top 16 are missing (don’t know if they are or aren’t), then maybe make a note of that so that people don’t go around looking wondering where they are.

Vegas resident here.

Food in the strip is always expensive as fuck. Only option there is McDs or leave the strip for In-N-Out or somewhere else.

If you want good food for cheap though and enjoy a nice dinner/lunch with friends for cheap I recommend Margaritaville. You get a large meal for the equivalent of anything sold in the food courts.

Either that or McDonalds.

As for what should be improved; make venues and events targeted at noobs and maybe sessions.

The only real problem I had was after the event since I was still too scared to take the bus home and had to call my father’s friend.

That and me entering the BBCSE tourney and not picking my main (I was also still shit with stick.) and getting bodied on livestream. Then again all issues I had were “me” problems.
