hi guysi live in the uk and i have ordered an import of blazblue will it work on my uk ps3? and will it play online? or do i need to buy nething special for the ps3 so it works?
Apparently all PS3 games are region-free so you don’t have to worry about Blazblue or KoFXII not working on your UK PS3. As for the 360, I know the US release of Blazblue has been confirmed region-free but what about KoFXII? Has anyone heard word from Ignition as to whether this will work on PAL systems? I wanna know for sure before I preorder.
EDIT: Sorry, turns out Blazblue 360 won’t be region free so you’re fucked if you’re from PAL territory. Let’s just hope KoFXII doesn’t share the same fate.
thanks thats ok then aslong as ps3 is region free im ok
just to clarify remxi that means not only can i play the us verision on my ps3 i can play people online from arouind the world right? as im in the uk
Yep.
Chances are you needn’t even worry about importing, anyway. (http://www.kingoffighters12.co.uk/)
Yeah but all links on that page are to american pages, since it’s purely copied from the american site. Now I’m gonna be honest and after the responce I had from Ignition (or lack there of) I’m kinda anxious and wondering if I need to get an import ordered for KOFXII since even after E3 there is still NO news or information here in Europe on a release at all. Forget July, there’s no news about it period bar old snippets that say the game is out soon.
Show me a shop link that has the game listed and I’ll be more optimistic.
lets hope that snkp does not region lock it
From what I’ve been told, PS3 KOFXII is region free but the DLC is’nt so you won’t be able to buy the additional stuff.
You can buy US psn cards for DLC, i used hdmoviesource when i needed US points to get SSF2HDR. Got my psn code emailed to me in about 5-10minutes.
Problem is SCEE are going on a rampage to stop EU players from using these means in the future, and are cracking down hard on it. It’s bullshit.
Man that sucks, first Lik-sang (in the process scaring off most of the big import sites from importing sony goods to the EU) and now this, sony may make decent consoles but they can be real arseholes to their customers. (waits for someone living in America or Japan haveing no problem to come and defend them without relising how bad they screw Europeans)
japan screws na as well in terms of gaming just not as bad as eu
If you have a PAL PS3 and are playing on a HD TV then you’ll be fine playing imports. Otherwise on a standard def TV it most likely wont work as the PAL PS3 will automatically try to set the game to 50hz.
