P.S. BIG Serious Question… Am I setting up Team Tournaments in SF4/Tekken/Marvel/Smash/Melee or what, I haven’t received any PM’s or seen any legit posts in regards to or any interests in Team Tournaments???

GA thread was lit up about a week ago for a 3v3 tournament or possibly 5v5 exhibition in SF4, and possibly Tekken 6.

Anyhow, put me down for HDRemix & SF4.

The last 3 tournaments I’ve been to that were in atlanta (South East Battles, Tension Paulse 2009, and Waba Combo Breaker Oct) had really poor turnouts (I think it was 5 for SEB, 5 for TP09, and 2 for WABA). Marvel still get’s great turnouts other places, like NY and Cali, but there’s not much Marvel action here.

Why play the game at 50% or less its potential, this isn’t like CvS2 and killing Roll Cancel (Which was detrimental to it’s x-box or PS success or lack there of)
Like not playing Marvel at it’s best and highest ability just isn’t worth playing.

The next gen MvC2 isn’t *that *bad. It is worse than the PS2 version though. Like I said, I play all 3 versions (arc, PS2, and 360) almost daily so I don’t really care what we play, but I’m sure it’ll be a much bigger turnout if we play it on the PS3/360.

Just to let you no from jump I am not arguing with you by a long shot BUT.

SEB caught us all at a bad time, the Marvel Players here just couldn’t come due to work, remember I was doing the live stream, interviews etc on day one but couldn’t come day two.
WaBa never has a high turn out for marvel let alone the BEST marvel players in GA or the South East Division.
I am not sure when thwe Augusta tournament was (The date exactly) but I know we didn’t attend (We meaning myself and other Marvel players I know in and around the atlanta area.

The Next Gen systems have flaws in the game that cannot be ignored, if you do not know them you may need to read up asap and you will see why my concern is so high:wink:

Most of the ones I know of are all the online glitches. Besides those, I think the only offline errors I’ve come across are Magnetos ROM infinite being messed up sometimes cause of the light kick resetting to early, the walls are farther than they should be (and makes timing your guard break a little different), and you have to hit characters earlier to pop them up off the ground (some double air combos too).

These reasons and others have kept this game from being played in tournaments on anything but the DC. If that’s how everyone wants it to be then fine. I just hope we can find other ways to get more people into Marvel. :china:

also I want to say that if you are bringing equipment (tv’s,etc) you are agreeing to help with a tournament and not agaisnt it…smash people can bring 30 tv’s and other tournament’s need those tv’s do you think it is fair for them just to use them all on smash? If I bring my Tv and say " this is only for etc.etc." and there is a need for one TV to get another tournament running quickly while one game already has enough tv’s…should I say no? If we need to use one of the tv’s smash people have brought and ask them…would they say no?

The XBOX360 version gets very choppy the first time you superjump in a match
so if the game chops when someone trijumps that’s fucked up i’m not even a marvel player I can tell you that.

the PS3 version does not have this issue…
About the gameplay stuff:I thought the patch fixed that?? I know the Cable AHVB unblockable thing got fixed

OFFICIAL CHALLENGE: FRIENDLY 5V5 EXHIBITION MATCH

This is an official challenge to any 5-man team out there thats coming to IC5. Whether your from out-of-state or in-state, any team is welcome to challenge us. We dont want to put any money on it, we just want to do it for fun! Its going to be a 5v5 exhibition match. If anybody is interested please let me or Dru (Dru90x) know. We dont want this to be for any recogntition or anything like that, we just want to do it for the fun of it…so any team is welcome to challenge us. After the exhibition is over, we want to share thoughts and ideas with all the members of both teams to see how we can all improve our game!! PM me or Dru if your interested:tup:

Anybody can challenge us, it doesnt matter who, the only requirement is that you have 5 people on your team lol. We have decided to do it as a freindly exhibition only. We will be honored to play any 5-man team no matter the skill level. We want everybody to get better, that is the reason for this challenge! Again, contact Dru or me to schedule an exhibition if your interested.

Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and any other states: this is open for you guys too, anybody that will be there. We want to encourage growth in skill and communication of knowledge by doing this!

I feel a bit disrespected to be honest because I just posted in the Ga Thread and up above in the tournament thread ASKING if individuals were interested in being involved in an exhibition of the team stature, asking them to PM me so I could plan it all out.

There is no time set aside/planned for a team exhibition.
Neither of the tournament organizers or myself were notified or even ASKED so this… AIN’T HAPPENING!!! :rolleyes:
