We are going to have randomized brackets but we will manually move those away who are very good from each other so they do not meet in the earlier rounds. However, the chances of you and him fighting in the first round are very low since we’ll have quite a bit of participants in the tournament. We plan on having the brackets projected onto a projector so that people will be able to view them and make sure their names are on the brackets before we start the tournament. Since this tournament’s brackets will be done purely on computer it will make the bracket work much easier this time around (as opposed to paper).
Also, Kajoq informed me that on Daysinn.com they only charged him $50.99 a night plus $7 tax to rent a room. That’s a little cheaper than the price I told you guys so you can go directly to there to rent a room if you’d like as well. I am sure you want to take a shower and freshen up if you are coming on the next day . . . .I would think so, right?
Lastly you have to cheat to get the lowered rate. You put that you have only two guests in the room and it will give you the lowered rate. If you put four or five it will charge more.
I play everyone, but I’ve been told my biker-cop is really annoying. I just like him because he looks like such an idiot. I think he secretly rubs bengay on his achey joints between matches. His vs-screen picture makes him look like a middle school lunch lady.
I’m not too great at that game, but my Scorpion won me a couple of money matches a few weeks back. It might have helped that the guy I was against played like a bitch, though.
Yeah, since it’s such a mainstream game I definitely want as many of you to participate as possible so I made sure to move it to day one instead of day two.
Classic controllers and arcade sticks are allowed. Just no Wiimotes or nunchucks.

Alright guys, it’s been bought to my attention that SFIV will garner a huge amount of attention and being that we’ll only have one machine the entire time, I think the smartest move would be to start this tournament at around 12:30 p.m. instead of the original time of 4 p.m. If you want to free play I will have the room opened way earlier before that so make sure you just come through early and get a chance to play. I really would like to give you guys more free play time but I don’t want this tournament to not finish on time or a game take all day for you guys to begin playing your first match (like Impact Clash 2). There will be people coming from afar just to get a chance to play this game so it’s just best to have it started as a headliner. I am sorry for whomever this inconveniences.
Lastly the larger tournaments will start first as opposed to the smaller than bigger like last time. This will make things run way more smoothly I feel and it’s what major tournaments like Final Round do so I think it would be best to emulate this.
The last question I have, is Akuma balanced in HD Remix? I know he’s banned in classic mode but if they rebalanced everything is he fine for tournament play? I’ve heard he is allowed in Japan. I don’t want to ban anything without warrant first.
He’s sketchy. He’s more balanced than he used to be, but that’s not saying much considering how broken he used to be. It seems like they just took out the super overpowered stuff and left in the other things that make him a beast. He’s undeniably the best of the shotos in HD Remix.
The only major differences from ST are that his legs aren’t invincible during his crouching kicks anymore, his air fireball has been nerfed slightly, his fireball recovery has been slowed down slightly (but is still faster than Ryu’s), he takes more damage than anyone else, can be dizzied now, and they gave him a super now. To be honest, I still think he’s a bit unfair, but I haven’t fought too many Akumas, so we’ll see what everyone else says.
