I'm sorry...

…but you guys really got screwed with HDR. I hang out a lot with SweetJohnnyV, he’s one of my really good friends. Today I suggested that we hit up some PS3 online action. I was really hoping to get some games with a lot of you guys that I see post here but couldn’t otherwise play with.

We played for quite some time. We started out in one room that was ok at first. Then out of nowhere the game lagged like a mofo. It was like at any point someone was mashing for a throw, or attempting to reversal it would slow down. It would even lag when we played against a host of a room that had a decent ping. It’s horrible and it happens all the time. I thought at one point the lag on the 360 was bad, but shit guys, the 360 version of HDR is at least an order of magnitude (10x) more enjoyable. Hell, we couldn’t even figure out how to accept or send an invite. (sorry Blitzfu, we tried!)

I was very disappointed by the whole experience. So, I’m sorry, but you gus got FUCKED. It was so bad that we only really played 30 or so games then we went back to the 360. I’d rather play against scrubs on the 360 than deal with the BS on the PS3.

I was really hoping to get my ass kicked Blitz or EgoTrip style! I guess we’ll have to meet up at Evo.

Ah, that explains why SweetJV didn’t accept my invite. Megamanpb I’ve been wanting to play you and all the other XBOX beasts that I hear about in the General Strategy forum, especially Ultradavid, Sabre and jchensor. I got lucky tho when some legendary peeps played on PSN and I got a chance to get clocked by them (Branta, NKI, John Choi, DGV, etc). We always hear about 360 HDR being better than PSN, but after playing nothing but PSN since the release, I don’t find it that bad at all. IMO it’s less laggy than GGPO, which is considered to be the best (if not THE best) online fighting, especially for ST. So that’s saying a lot.

Some ppl are saying that they can’t do reversal Shoryukens on PSN but they can on 360. I have no problems getting reversal attacks or throws 90% of the time. I guess I’m used to it, but would still love to get a 360 too, but the controller options are VERY limited. It’s either the default pad (which is the worst dpad in history), Madcatz (which is unreliable) or stick (which is itself very expensive for me), so you see my dilemma. I’m definitely gonna get a 360 tho, maybe once the economy gets better lol.

:wonder: I’m sorry… but, the bad games thread is [this way]… dood!
