Yeah Kinda awkward to make it a half circle motion, maybe so it won’t mix too much with the ground slam input.
E. Ryu’s kick is a hcb motion as well. Really weird.
Well, at least you can do it after walking forward if it’s HCF.
Capcom learned from the problems associated with gouken’s parry and tatsu. both kinda shared the same input while blocking and also the same button when attempting a low parry(kick button).
it would’ve been nice to have different motions for each special, but that won’t happen. SF4 needs move hc’s.

If this is the case, shouldn’t you be able to do something like b.MP xx s.HP xx LP slice, s.LP, b.MP xx s.HP ss LP slice etc? I’m quite sure the dev blog said you can’t link into s.HP.
I am 100% sure st.LP links into st.HP. I did it multiple times yesterday - maybe it was 2nd active frame nonsense but I felt like I was pretty consistent with it. I think there would be too much pushback to use it as an infinite though…
But I will definitely try later tonight.

No, he’s right, the dev blog does say you can’t link into st.HP but I’m absolutely positive that you can.

Also, given EX Palm Slice’s long startup, does anti-air st.HP or cr.HP xx EX Palm Slice cross up just as your opponent lands? That shit would be godlike.
