"I'm No Ordinary Civy" Jill Combo / Strategy / Tech Thread Revamp

So, I dont think anyone answered definitively, but are flip kick stuff Jills optimal hit confirm? Basically what im doing is hit confirm (typical cr.m/s.M > s.H > cr.H > flip kick > flip kick > somersault > jumping roundhouse > feral dash > somersault > cartwheel > somersault xx MGS.

is there something more optimal ?

It’s been a long time, but I think that’s the best you’ll get off that many hits before the flip kick. There’s still always of course:
(typical confirm) > s.H > flip kick > FC > flip kick > FC > flip kick > somersault > FC > jumping roundhouse > FC > feral dash > FC > somersault > TK cartwheel > somersault xx MGS.
which will still get you more damage, I think.

Jill’s best confirm is Dood’s Combo or the optimized vers. of Paulo’s BNB

Dood’s is a bit finicky cause of the TK in there, so I tend to go straight to Paulo’s myself. Paulo’s can be done everywhere, but you need to learn how to get the back hitbox on many character models. You should be able to gauge it when you get used ot it.

22S,H,22S,H,22S,M,Arrow Kick, j.HS,j.MMHS, s.H,4H, Cartwheel, 22S,Left/Right (steal corner), 22S, Somersault, MGS.

Should always net you in the 700k’s.

Oh I didn’t know you can sneak a jump loop in there. I’ll have to give that a try.

You can only do the Jump loop if you start it from the Somersault Hcf.

if you start it from a s.M you can still go into the dual Somersault–>rest of combo excluding the jump loop but the damage varies. You may break 700k depending on the character you do it on or not. The jump loop guarantees 700k.

It can be done anywhere but you need to gauge the “back hitbox” for the Roundhouse–> Arrow kick portion.

Damn dude, I wish you still played, you were pretty much my role model for jill and are starting to get a ton of respect. You were without a doubt the best jill player, with the best reads, spacing, and adaptation that I have seen from any player.

EVO pissed me off and kind of made me play marvel a bit for team configs and stuff.

You give me too much credit. After looking at Alukard and Paulo’s play, I realized that the way they play Jill is in no way wrong, but just completely different than my own style.

It’s cool seeing how different people play one character completely different. It’s a great thing to see.

Oh okay, i gotcha. Although, next year I am going to evo, by car, and trying to pick up as many people as possible. If you can go to evo and fuck shit up with jill, people would see the character in a whole different light.

And yes it is pretty cool to see. Alukard has a very rushy down jill, who utilizes plink dashes to her fullest. While paulo is more of a justin wong kind of patient player who gets in, but once he’s in, he fucks shit up.

Alukard’s Jill is really good. I like the way he uses his whole team. Now if only I could break my bond with the coon I could use Jill / IM / Sent, but he’s my best character :.

Iamuness I found a very nice setup for you to use with your team. It doesn’t matter which way the opponent techs with this.

You get them into a hard knockdown, feral dash backwards, while calling rocket raccoon, and you just plink dash, the side you’ll end up in is pretty much unknown by both of you, and even if he blocks that part of it, you have the second missile of spitfire twice coming at them so you have yet another 50/50 to throw at them. It’s pretty dirty.

I’ve actually been working on a Zero may Die combo feat. Strider and RR or Dante. It hasn’t been working that well by ideas are flowing through my mind :slight_smile:

So I have a question:

What are your favorite options out of double bounce ender?

If I dp+M, the only followup I get is s.L on a med. sized character.
If I do c.M, they usually mash throw out of whatever I try to do so they get OS j.H or back throw or whatever.
If I somersault, I guess I can get a somewhat cool combo, but that’s if the forward tech or mash.

by the way guys whats your method for plink dashing with jill?

You should be “Feral Plinking” From a Feral Dash; you can plink with two buttons (I use M & H) in any direction to get forward momentum then cancel back into feral crouch whenever you choose.

So how are you performing it exactly, i know with vergil its just f+M+H over and over and it cancels into itself. So what your saying is just basically feral dash, then command dash out of it once then cancel back into
feral?

You’re Feral Dashing–> Canceling into how many Plink dashes you need–>Then canceling into FC and Dash the first possible frame.

The Plink into 22S is a bit tricky since your hands are going to be on M, H, Forward,Down, And S. You want to use the momentum from you’re plink dash into the 22S.
