the giant is standing but the other characters arent.
i absolutely hate fighting the giants. its not the same game at all. i run into that same problem, though to a far lesser extent, with the shorties, such as roll. it just changes the mechanics of the game sooooo much.
Yeah, but starting a combo off of Morrigan’s dash doesn’t give me a free switch-in while the opponent is grounded.
It looks like Capcom set a height parameter in the game for Aerial Raves rather than making the paramater, being, I dunno, an actual air combo.
^Quarter circle foward and Partner is a command with one meter or more. Just jump up and do it with one bar and you will see that it work on anyone as long as you are in the air and it hits them.(they can even block it and you will still switch out)
Giants have snapbacks so just use them and all is ok!!!
And actually if you are high enough to hit the V.A.R. you can link one off of j.a or j.b. Dash with her from the ground and at the middle to top of the dash hit b and then do the V.A.R. It is kind of cool in my eyes that you have another say way to get your partner in.
You can, actually, use that off of a Morrigan Air/Ground dash, it’s just not fast enough to work off of the jump cancelled morrigan dash bullshit. You can do it as low to the ground as you feel like.
Both PTX and Lightan’s snapbacks are slow, unweildy and not that easy to hit confirm since you cant really combo into them outside of using baroque. I speak for PTX. Not so sure about lightan though. I don’t think they’re all that viable if youre opponent is paying attention.
You know, people can talk about how PTX is broken now with all his buffs, but with his missiles being nerfed and his grabs now once again being useless thanks to no megacrash shenanigans, I honestly don’t think this will be the case, no matter how many other buffs he got. PTX’s saving grace a lot of the time is that missile into level 3 super, or corner crash into otg BBQ ROAST X2. Other than that, a smart player can beat up on the giants using Yami boss fight tactics just using smart baroque off their chip damage. 
Lack of unscaled infinites is VERY nice, but I still can see Tekkaman space lariat spam being a threat for Lightan at the very least. And don’t even get me started on Saki.
Lightan’s snapback is a bit faster than PTX, but has a very crappy range (it requires the enemy to be up in the air), and he has a long recovery time.

I would consider Rock a big threat for the giants as well, his spam game is normally good. But yeah, Saki is has at least a 70 - 80% of possibilities to win against someone who knows what he is doing, she is the Tartarus of the giants. And well, Casshern is a nice option against the giants too, given that he has some good moves that brakes their super-armor.
I somehow like fighting against them, unfortunately I have not fought against many PTXs or Gold Lightans that are somewhat decent around here, except for a few players.
Rock isn’t a huge threat. His spam game is annoying but it just gives PTX more baroque to work with, and most of the time he can be chase Rock down with bbq-canceled riot tackles. Casshern only has his dive kicks and they are very easy to see coming and punish. Just to put this into perspective, a blocked dive kick from Casshern can be punished with a 3C, which is pretty bad news for Casshern. Friender is too slow to really be a threat too, because PTX approaches most of the time from the air. Riot tackle also beats Friender.
Morrigan is another character who can really hurt the giants. She is good at keepaway AND has a very annoying command throw that gives her free damage at the start of the round and in close range situations.
Playing as or against the giants at high level is really fun if both players know what to do. If you study the giants and know what to look out for and how to fish for openings, then you’ll come to understand that in order to play PTX effectively it takes a lot of skill and patience. Most people don’t realise that every time PTX uses riot tackle, chainsaw or 2C without baroque, it is unsafe and can be punished with a lariat/karas chain. Both Giants also do not have a reliable way to deal with timouts.
I dunno. I mean, while she’s kinda hot, she seems like the kind of chick that you’d need to take antibiotics for after the fact.

I already have a Wii so I have no problem with it.
Tis a shame how right now the wii I play is planned for 3 things.
- TVC
- Super Mario Bros Wii or Super Mario Galaxy 2
- The NES Mega Man games.
I’m trying to get people to play it, but no one seems to like it. I try and teach people but the 3 button IAD seems to go over their head fairly quickly. Or how to use your SJ, jump cancels, and launcher.
Others try to play it like SF4 and zone me from the ground and when i get close just mash jab.
I like the game a lot, but really, people just don’t want to play it because it’s not SF4 or Marvel. Sad, cause it’s a great game with a lot of depth. You can have a lot of fun matches when you finally get good.
Hopefully when it comes out in America people will actually play it.
