- A cocktail cabinet…the game doesn’t matter, just the cabinet.
The biggest appeal about X-Men arcade probably was the 6 player coop on a giant widescreen, and how big and loud the cabinet was. However, since that’s pretty much the only setup of its kind in the brawler genre, that alone is enough to rank it among the best, even though the top brawlers are more technical. It’s not like the X-Men deluxe setup isn’t fun as all get out, unless there’s somebody in your party with borderline Asperger’s that’s spoiling the fun.

World of warcraft custom cabinet… i said it… >_>
Fair enough. I still think its awesome and, dare I say it, I love it more as a beat em up than Streets of Rage 2 (hides in fear of being negged). But I can see your point though. Invisible rep for a great post. And yes Millar’s first arc was awesome.
Because they actually had common sense to know better, just like they did to replace the god awful theme song for the cartoon, with the kick ass one for the game. But I never understood how the producers of both Spiderman and his Amazing Friends and the X-MEN pilot, both have Wolverine as an Australian? And this was five years apart from the episodes. Shit makes no sense. But anyway looking at the game and how imaginative the levels were I wonder how the show would have worked, or if they kept the animators and artists for the later cartoon. Because while it was cheesy, the animation and artwork for that pilot was flawless.
The animation/artwork in the pilot was superior to the actual fucking show
Are you talking about the X-MEN animated series? Because if you are that is something that nearly everybody agrees upon. Really X-MEN, I love the show, but the artwork should have been a hell of alot better. That pilot had some of the best animation and artwork of the 80s.
sadly , the game story is very short . bosses are all giant vehicles . 3rd stage is the exciting part . there will be a sequal i think

What can I say I like big cabs. It’s kind of redundant to have 4 and 5 together, but I figure that 4 would be somewhere else, like actually in my house, while I would keep all the others out somewhere else.
There are dozens of other weird cabs I would like to have, probably even more than those I listed, but I thought those were interesting. Out of the 5 I would like to have the Egret the most. I consider that the perfect candy cab.
Also, when you say “arcade machine” most people in the arcade hobby think of dedicated cabinets, not just a particular game board. There is no such thing as a Super Street Fighter II Turbo machine since there was never a dedicated cab for it. So if you say that game then you will need to say what kind of cab you would prefer it in.

If we’re talking arcade machines specifically… all I’d need in my life is a goddamned CYCRAFT. That full-suspension cabinet puts you into the game in ways Wii could only wish. The bumps, twists and turns will haunt your every move for the next 24 hours. Super Mario Bros on NES would feel like the real thing if it was hooked up to a Cycraft.
