Thats what I was thinking.
But I make an exception for Marvel 2. I don’t like DC controllers, and I don’t like home sticks. I have to play with an American arcade machine, or a Playstation controller.
Super Turbo, doesn’t have an arcade perfect conversion.

I want these games not because that they are “the best” ever; but because they hold sentimental value to me.
I can’t include them because haven’t played them but I’d like an beatmania machine/random music games/Arcana Heart 2/ random wacky Japanese games.
Oh and if I could remember the name of that game where you are a little ship and you build walls around monsters (like jezzball in space without the balls) I’d want that. Damn that game was fun.
A 3-d Pinball machine would be dope too.
Maybe a ski-ball game while I’m at it.
-
Demon Front - Thats the one game I want the most. Its like Metal Slug in a fantasy universe, and I mean LOTR shit. Google it, its awesome. Plus, its not on emulation, so this would be the only way I could play it.
-
Time Crisis 2 - I would definitely need a light-gun game, and Time Crisis is the best. TC2 is a quick 15 minute blast of awesome, and you don’t have to worry about switching weapons and shit.
-
Alien vs Predator - Gonna need a beat’em up, so might as well get the best one. Cyborg Arnold Schwarenegger, a pair of fucking Predators, and Linn Kurosawa(another great little character by the king of cool character designs Capcom) versus an army of ALIENS. Its one of the few beat’em ups I can stand now, with enough variety in moves/weapons/enemy class types/bonus rounds to keep you interested in the entire duration of the game(compared to something like X-men, where you just mash one button against palette swap sentinels for the entire game)*
*Why the fuck would Magneto be controlling Sentinels anyway? Sentinels are programmed to hunt mutants, WTF is going on? Did he hack into their metal heads and unleash them on humans? “Shoe’s on the other foot, fuckers!” And why are the Sentinels human size?
-
Rambo - Its the stupidest, most manly game ever created. You are Rambo. You have a GIANT phallic gun that vibrates as you spread bullets across the screen. Shoot enough of them, and you go into Rage mode, where you Invincible, have unlimited bullets, do more damage, and have Rambo scream “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!” at the top of his lungs for the entire duration. Its the dumbest fucking game ever created, and I love it.
-
DoDonpachi - Gotta have a shmup, and why not have one of the best of them all. A fantastic bullet hell shooter that I can play til the end of the time(and never get to the second loop, but alas we can’t ask for miracles).

I like your list, but how dare you besmirch the greatness that is X-MEN (A.K.A “Pryde of the X-Men” game) arcade!? And I assumed like everybody else that Magneto just took control of the Sentinels just like Mark Millar had him do in the Ultimate X-MEN story arc. Its kind of hard to explain that shit at the beginning of the game so we can always use are assumptions. But your list, especially the Time Crisis inclusion was good, but X-MEN 6-player arcade* is an all-time fuckin classic.
*That 3 player arcade doesn’t count and I only will accept the 6 player cabinet.

maiden masher : Silent Scope 2 is the best .
Like the late, great P.Gorath said in the “games that don’t hold up” thread. Its just you mashing one button, doing the same boring ass combo for the whole damn game. Games like Streets of Rage 2’s harder difficulties or Alien vs Predator are still awesome because you got a variety of shit. In AvP, you got regular combo, QCF moves, dash moves, grapples, JUMPING PILEDRIVERS, a nifty little weapon system. The characters had some real variety and played differently, compared to something like X-men arcade where every character plays the same, and half of them had specials that didn’t make any sense(Seriously, what the fuck is you doing, Colossus? “Someone touched Katya!”).
I have fond memories of the 6 player X-men arcade game, everybody taking turns using their specials on the boss and Professor X with the most obvious statements(“That wasn’t Magneto, that was Mystique!” No shit, Chuck), but it hasn’t stood the test of time and I wouldn’t waste a quarter on it nowadays.
Also, after I read that first Ult. X-men arc(which is awesome by the way. Quicksilver steals jeep engine “Missing an engine, Cyclops?” Cyclops shoots him in the face “Missing a face, moron?”), I assumed thats how Magneto did it. Still, shitty way of showing it Konami.
And if you’re going to do a “Pyrde of Kitty” X-men game, why wasn’t Wolverine Australian!?
Edit: Razing Storm looks fucking beast. Its like Crisis Zone 2.
