If you want to buy a custom arcade stick

ahh ok, I’m pretty glad that came up, otherwise trouble I would be in
It’s ok, I won’t do anything like that, I’m pretty happy at the moment just lurking and reading the forums and what people have to say. A lot of really useful stuff here.
thanks guys, maybe see you in six months on the trading post that is

WOW dude, it sounds like it will be a privilege to build your stick.

Is it just me, or does this dude sound a bit difficult?

That’s some hefty demands, and a snotty sounding attitude as well.

Maybe, I’m injecting snark where there is none, but the refusal to Paypal, plus the “maserful(sic) smoothing process” and “high priced oil” parts made me LOL.

Vintage teak? Shouldn’t be a problem IF YOU LIVE IN A SHIPYARD?

I dunno…is anyone lining up to have the presumed HONOR of crafting this stick?

Maybe I’m just in a mood, but the request sounds…snotty.

BTW anyone know where to get a “Clutku” board? AHAHHAHAHAHA!

I couldn’t agree more. Stick builders build customs because they love to, and because they like to give back to community, not because its some lucrative business; most of the time there is only marginal profit to be had.

This person here is demanding that a stick “BETTER” be built to his specifications. That kind of demanding and overbearing attitude is not going get you any closer to building your custom. It’s much easier for the stick builder to not take your order, then have to deal with a customer of your sorts. Goodluck finding your Clutku.

can people direct me to a cheap stick makers link. i want one that has a nice custom faceplate on it too for around 120

I don’t think you will find anyone to build one for you for less than $200. You want a custom stick, expect a custom price.

Michael

Exactly. The only way you can get a sweet custom stick is if you either A.) Work out a trade/deal to lower the price with the builder, or B.) Build it yourself. By building it yourself, you’re saving on the labor costs, and obviously, you have to learn to do it all yourself, but it’s very fun to do.

Either way, best of luck getting a custom stick, man.

Yeah 200 is really like the minimum now days. The inside parts are around 120 to start even more if you dual mod it.

thanks for the help i may just settle for a TE stick then

Does anyone know any good duo service around??? They job should be neat and clean.

missing person is doing mine, I will let you know what I think when I get the stick back

Also check with networkingyuppy. Guy does great work and is fast on the communi-kay

Just bought a stick from a new company. The cheapest prices i have every seen. He is working on a new website i’ll let you know when it’s up.

well… it really depends how much effort you want to put into it…

I got a NorrisArcade a blank case for my custom, and I put everything together my self.

after 3 weeks of constant work… the stick ended up costing me around 250-260
total. :wow:

by doing DIY, it means I need to buy parts and material to work on the stick
mask, sand paper, tape, wire, polisher, cloth, and the most costly for me… paint (spent $80 to get what I wanted)

So… if you want to DIY, first, consider do you have the tools already, and are you gonna use those tools later on or not…
if not… I suggest to get a custom build… even though the initial price tag does seems to be a bit high

ps: I regret not discovering SRK and stick building until last yaer… if i know about stick building back in 4 years ago… when I was in high school wood shop… where tool and material isn’t a restriction… i might produce some awesome stick…

Anybody wanna build a Korean stick?

Want a case of this style:
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=3298365&postcount=243

just an empty wooden case, no parts or electronics…any takers? (will pay)

If anything I am willing to give up a vshg for one with all sanwa parts and ps3 functional. (will trade)

Hi!

Anyone could give me some name and websites of builders in Europe? I would really appreciate it, I know there ain’t many of them in Europe, but oh well.

Duo Mod service!!!

So how is missing person duo mod??? Is it clean and function perfectly??? Can you post a pic for me thanks for the help!!!

Shameless promo I build mainly bartop arcade cabs but am working on a getting a couple sticks done in the new year feel free to check out some of my bartop work at freekade.co.uk and my latest sub mini bartop at

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=96035.0

not really had any ideas on pricing yet I guess it would depend on what I go with oh and they will be mame and PS3 for the first ones. I would not have any for sale if I do end up producing them until the latter half of next year as I am pretty tied up with other things but I will for sure upload some pics when I done with the first ones for me to play with.

I think a lot of people on here build mainly as they love games and as such dont turn a great deal of cash so are very limited by time to build, perhaps the reason for the low number of builders?

Cheers

MegamanDS you need to fix the link for the new server. People cannot get to it which I post a bug error issues at http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=221144&highlight=. Thanks for the help.
