You don’t need the whole gun. All you need is the lower receiver, which they have pretty much on point.
its hard to imagine a funnier application of a 3d printer than making lots and lots of dildos, except maybe a dildo shaped bong

I still want to get one of these as well… first thing that comes to mind — action figures. I could bring back certain toylines that are impossible to get now without resorting to something like ebay…and I could make new variants of them…better versions…sheeeit:

…and then I realize that these characters have quite a bit of fine details, and would take awhile to model and then “print”, assuming I could even get the desired level of detail. I’ve dealt with 3d modeling and animation before, but it was a long time ago.
You could print out all those horribly over priced anime figures but make them anatomically correct and sell them back to desperate ass dudes in Japan. Also, ice trays.
Holy shit can you imagine how awesome it’d be to be able to print condoms?! C’mon technology DO NOT LET ME DOWN.

You know how sometimes shit gets caked on, and you REALLY don’t feel like washing that motherfucker? ctrl+alt+del then ctrl + P that shit.

i plan on investing in one in the next 5 years, but imo they aren’t ready yet. i’ll probably get a laser cutter first. already got the CNC machine…
as far is 3D printed models, Ownage Manufacturing is killing it; but i dread to see the cost of the printer they have 
^ah yes, that’s the kind of detail I’m wanting…that at least confirms it’s possible. (*Hell YEAH They did GORGE from Unreal!!!)

…miniature arcade machines…perhaps built to allow actual game components installed to them so it works as real “mini-arcade” games (like those ones sold a long time ago in the Pacman/Defender/Galaga era; I wanted one so bad but never got one)…they could be various sizes too, I guess…like imagine a Pacman or whatever game in an arcade cabinet style, but it’s only about as tall as a cereal box…then if you can eventually install the board and all that jazz to make it actually work?! Holy shit that’s awesome…
Then there’s Calvin & Hobbes, that movie “Legend”, Max Headroom, Dungeons & Dragons cartoon characters, Aliens vs. Predator arcade game characters… sheeeit, the more I think of this never-ending list, the more I want to get a 3d printer right NOW. There’s so much you could do with this.
Nice. What kills that for me though is needing either an existing model to scan, or having to do the 3D work myself to create it. I mean if I could reach into the game and yank out the character models (like Error does for SFxT), then it would be multiple levels of awesome (I actually COULD do Sagat’s C.FP).
That must be one of the HD printers tasty.
